I have passed this little auto audio shop hundreds of times, and always wanted to photograph it. I hope it's still in business. Always good to have an alternative to the big box stores.

Not of This World / Temporary Assignment

The phrase ”not of this world” is perhaps most well-known for being a Christian apparel company, a Christian clothing and retail brand, offering an alternative to the mainstream consumer goods.

Cars n Coffee was a weekly Saturday morning event that used to be held in Irvine, California where hundreds of proud drivers congregated to kick tires and have a cup of coffee.

So my car stereo was pretty much dead - it worked about 30% of the time, the display was shot, the speakers were going and the radio antenna was dead. So I picked up a new kit - the whole nine yards.

Of course - it came with a remote control Seriously, the whole unit is several inches away from your fingers. It takes more effort to find the remote than it does to just stab a button on the radio. How lazy does someone have to be to need a remote control for their car?

R. built this awesome boom box by modifying an Amstel beer case and putting in 4 speakers, a car battery and a car stereo. It worked wonders! Roskilde Festival 2009.

Toyota Yaris W58824 car-stereo connectors

I suppose that the left one is for the speakers

Second left the power connector

The right connector is for the buttons on the dash (I guess)

The second right the external CD player

The third right is probably for the auxiliary (I guess)

The round black cable is the antenna

Can anyone confirm this?

They look like they'ld fit most 70's cars, but getting them in some 60's cars, was an excercise in patience.
