Finally, finally, finally, I got the light I've been looking for! I've been trying for 15 years to capture the soft morning light that hits the open space just beyond my back fence. I saw it this morning again, so I grabbed my Canon 1D Mark IV which happened to have the 'nifty-fifty' on it, a cheap 50mm f1.8 prime, and I stuck it over the back fence and clicked. This lens takes great pics and is tack sharp.

50mm of course, f7.1, ISO 200, at 1/50 sec. with -2/3 exposure compensation.

I create an annual calendar as a tribute to Indian dance and music

The neon city lights are beautiful. I tried to capture only the light and neglect all the surrounding details, in order to make the photo more abstract. This is inspired by Hiroshi Sugimoto who very creative and will always try to invent some new ways of shooting. I am trying some new ways for myself as well.
