We have had a lot of cloudy & rainy days in Pittsburgh, I got going early to take advantage of the sky this morning.
Captured after a heavy rain shower, a harbinger of Spring. They grow well in cooler climates in Australia.
Not to be confused with Galanthus- SnowDROP which I saw everywhere flowering in Southern England in February. These prefer a much cooler climate then Leucojum.

The photograph captures the vibrant, historic heart of Piazza del Duomo in Taormina, Sicily, dominated by the majestic Duomo di Taormina (Cathedral of Saint Nicholas) and its iconic baroque fountain, the Fontana del Duomo. Constructed in the 13th century over the remnants of an earlier medieval church and extensively renovated during the 15th and 17th centuries, the cathedral showcases a striking Sicilian Romanesque-Gothic style, characterized by its austere exterior of local pink marble and gray stone topped with crenellated battlements that recall a medieval fortress. In the foreground, the multi-tiered 1635 Baroque fountain features carved stone mythological figures and mythological sea creatures, culminating in the symbol of Taormina at its summit: a crowned centaur holding a globe and scepter. The roseate spoonbill is beautiful in almost any light but the setting sun gives it almost a luminous look !! We are so fortunate to have this species in Florida and to be able to see it in different situations and light .
