My Friend Rawls Capturing a California Live Oak Tree Early in the Morning – Crane Creek Regional Park, Santa Rosa, CA, U.S.A. May 3, 2017
Three am ...no sleep because of nightmares ....playing with camera trying to capture kitchen shadows on wall...then playing with bad photos in Picasa3......
The Consolidated PBY Catalina was a versatile and widely used flying boat and amphibious aircraft during World War II, renowned for its long range and durability. It served multiple roles, including maritime patrol, anti-submarine warfare, search and rescue, and convoy escort, helping to protect Allied naval operations. The Catalina’s ability to land on water made it indispensable for rescuing downed airmen and stranded sailors, earning it a legendary reputation in aviation history.
Saw this along the river at lunchtime yesterday. A sturdy seed pod as those winds were strong. View LARGE for more detail:):):).
On a wet Thursday morning a trio of 1Z10 photographers capture 4M45 Felixstowe to Garston with 86608 and 86614 at the head passing over the Widnes Viaduct.
taken while walking along the shore of Loch Lomond I was taken by the ribbon captured on the fence and how it resembled a prisoner caught in the act of escaping, but there again I always did have a vivid imagination!
Well here I am, hard at work and loving every minute of it. If I'm going to have my photograph taken, this is how I like it best, my back to the camera! LOL... I think my daughter captured this scene when I was deep in thought! :)
Sometimes I like to jazz-up a pic purely to make it somewhat different to the norm. Roses are always beautiful 'au naturelle' but I liked the impact of the colourful effect on this one.
My go to post processing is usually done with Paintshop Pro , but I used 'Smart Photo Editor' for this pic. They have hundreds of instant artistic effects to choose from, which themselves can be altered/ adjusted to your own taste. They are effects that have been submitted by the site's users. It's great fun and gets the creative juices flowing.
Pre-dawn capture, of the liquid natural gas export pier, at Cove Point, on the Chesapeake.
Tell me all the things you would change
I don't pretend to know what you want
When you come around and spin my top
Time and again, time and again
No fire where I lit my spark
I am not afraid of the dark
Where your words devour my heart
And put me to shame, put me to shame
When your seven worlds collide
Whenever I'm by your side
And dust from a distant sun
Will shower over everyone
Still so young to travel so far
Old enough to know who you are
Wise enough to carry the scars
Without any blame, there's no one to blame
It's easy to forget what you learned
Waiting for the thrill to return
Feeling your desire burn
And drawn to the flame
When your seven worlds collide
Whenever I'm by your side
Dust from a distant sun
Will shower over everyone
Dust from a distant sun
Will shower over everyone
And I'm lying on the table
Washed out in a flood
Like a Christian feeling vengeance from above
I don't pretend to know what you want
But I offer love
Seven worlds will collide
Whenever I'm by your side
Dust from a distant sun
Will shower over everyone
As time slips by
As time slips by

This is the morning view from our room at the Qasr al Sarab Resort in the UAE, a hidden gem in the middle of the Rub’ al Khali desert, near the Saudi Arabian border. I posted a similar photograph a couple of days ago, but the difference is that the other picture was taken in portrait format. When comparing the two shots, I believe that the landscape format excels in composition and overall balance.
