Captured in stunning detail, these vibrant daylilies (Hemerocallis) showcase nature's artistry at its finest. The rich crimson petals, adorned with delicate water droplets, create a mesmerizing contrast against the lush green foliage. The intricate ruffled edges of the petals and the golden-yellow throats of the flowers add depth and interest to the composition. I love the eye contact in this one and want to wish Flickr a very Happy 20th Anniversary. The nature reserve is very popular among photographers, especially at this time of year. Most of them seem to be more patient than I am. I saw this guy when I arrived in the morning and when I came by the same spot about one hour later he was still there. I'm still wondering what he was waiting for. The perfect light, a duck in the perfect position .... ?
