It's always fascinating to see a spacecraft approaching us, launched from Earth a few days ago, meeting us up here in the middle of nowhere at 28.000 km/h. Amazing technology. Congrats JAXA for successfully starting the HTV7 mission!

Government forces march captured Communists toward an uncertain future. Reds took over the local governments in Garmisch and Partenkirchener for a brief period of time in 1918-1919. Their control was short-lived as Freikorps and government forces routed them.

Back in October I took a photo called "Capturing Autumn":
Here is it's counterpart; Capturing Winter.
I'm thinking I'll take a similar shot for Spring and Summer too :)
A rural Ohio garage, from a trip out with the Westbridge Boys trip to Nelsonville. shot with a Nikon B850 with a Sigma 35mm 1.4 lens . Post in Capture one 20 and Nik Silver EFX.
A mesmerizing interplay of colors, as the sky reveals an abstract dance of light and shadow. The soft gradients of purple, pink, and blue evoke a sense of tranquility, while the subtle textures suggest the fleeting nature of time. This image invites the viewer to lose themselves in the beauty of the sky, capturing an ephemeral moment that can never be fully grasped.
Captured Both by my camera and in the feeder! Once they get in, the squirrels are quite happy to stay a while. Near the red Squirrel hide, Barrhill Woods, Kirkudbright, Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland.
I was drawn to this by the light. It looked too good to not capture it in some monochromatic goodness. I'm really excited with how well Babylon 13 captured the dynamics of the light that day.

We (aurora borealis photographers around the world) head out on painfully cold winter nights to capture the aurora borealis in all their majestic glory, but yet we all know that it's really us that's captured.

After several minutes of dedication and patience, you manage to capture a yellow ball of light created with light painting, reflected in a nook of a beach. The feeling when seeing the image displayed on the camera’s small screen is almost indescribable. It is a moment of pure awe and satisfaction.
First, there is the emotion of achievement: all the planning, creativity, and effort have borne fruit in an image that shines with its own magic. The yellow ball of light, with its warm and mysterious glow, seems to float in the air, creating an impressive contrast with the natural surroundings of the beach. The rocky surface and the soft shadows of the nook provide a perfect frame for this luminous work of art.

A departure from my normal images when I tried out a little macro shooting this afternoon in the back garden. I was shooting the beautiful lilac bush we now have in flower and noticed this small seed captured between the stems. I did not use a dedicated macro lens but a macro attachment which fits to the front of a normal lens allowing me to get closer.

I hope you like it and thank you for looking.
I can't think of many places where you can get nice reflection shots of sequoia trees, so we had to stop here a couple of times while in the area.
Handheld for 1.3 seconds. Everything that could be sharp is!
Actually what happened here was... the one on the tripod had plenty filters on and was running long exposures. Suddenly the sky came extra alive all around. So fetched the other one from the bag and began to take extra shots. More spectacular (in a way) than the carefully composed long exposures.
