PPS: It's not my globe and I was so tempted to re-position it but doing that would be rude to the owner.

Sometime in the early 1960's a cement truck overturned on this rural road, by the time help arrived to upright the overturned truck the concrete in the mixer had set up, so the mixer was left behind. It was painted to look like a NASA capsule. Always wanted to shoot it at night and last night was the night

Insects, recently emerged from their egg capsule, explore their new surroundings. As one can observe, some insects have yet to burst from their "incubators." Thanks to another Flickr member, the tiny insects are identified as "true bug" (Heteroptera, Hemiptera).

A concrete truck overturned on a rural road back in the late 1950's or early 60's. By the time the concrete company got there the cement in the mixer had hardened, so the removed the truck and left the mixer. Maybe 20 or so years ago, someone realized it had the shape of a NASA capsule, so it was painted to look like such

The image of youth has faded from this building some 40 years ago. The curtains do not speak of youthful inhabitants either. The hair stylist near street level resides in a place that has 1960 written all over it, yet nearly all photos in the hair stylists windows are of youthful men. The human mind can be a time capsule, too :-)

…… We had a 50 mile ride out today to visit a new to us N/Trust property - well worth the trip, we are so lucky to have these wonderful places to peep into lives past, imagine life back in the day and relive some snapshots in time. Spoilt for choice for my #243 shot of the day but I knew when I took the winner that it would be the one! Thanks to N/T & volunteers for a great day out. Alan:-)
