Of course you can't see any of this with the naked eye, and 1/3000 of a second is just on the verge of stopping the action.

A White-capped Dipper on the Urubamba River outside of Aguas Calientes. I love the dippers we have here in Montana, so I was super excited to see such a pretty one hoping about on the rocks down in the riverbed.
No caps have been sprayed or fiddled with on purpose, they've all been formed through the normal use of them. Once they get blocked, they're 'finished artworks' in their own right.

That's cap rock. It's a few hundred yards down Park Blvd from the Hidden Valley rock-field/camping area.
