The Black-capped Chickadee is a small, North American songbird, a passerine bird in the tit family Paridae. It is the state bird of both Maine and Massachusetts in the United States, and the provincial bird of New Brunswick in Canada.
Taken a little further up the beach from my last updates, and again these images were taken using a Lee Filters "Big Stopper" 10 stop ND filter.
They are also me familiarising myself with long exposure photography, getting used to how to work with large Fstop filters and more importantly the exposure times.
A 90 second exposure.
Yes, that is warmed golden syrup in a very literally-named pudding.
From the back of the card, "TO VARY: Black top pudding: Use blackcurrant jam instead of syrup. Red cap pudding: Use red jam instead of syrup. OR flavour the sponge mixture with spice, chocolate etc. For a more economical pudding use 2 oz. margarine, 2 oz. sugar, 1 egg with flour and milk or water to a soft dropping consistency."

Villefranche-sur-Mer is a commune in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region on the French Riviera. Villefranche-sur-Mer adjoins the city of Nice to the east. The bay is one of the deepest natural harbours of any port in the Mediterranean Sea.

Just after leaving its berth at the DP World Terminal at the Deurganck dock, the vessel is seen here sailing downstream the river Schelde on its way out to sea. It is still accompanied by the two tugs that assisted it to leave its berth, the URS operated tugs Smit Belgie and Union Kodiak.

No caps have been sprayed or fiddled with on purpose, they've all been formed through the normal use of them. Once they get blocked, they're 'finished artworks' in their own right.

I'd been looking for lightweight metal pencil caps with a simple design for sometime - and I found them at last at the pencil and ballpoint pen store called Gojuon in Tokyo.
The pencils in the foreground are the store's originals with its name and a picture of a pencil or a pen hand-painted.
