Just took this little macro picture yesterday in my back garden. I thought it looked interesting the way it leaned over like this and the way the ink seems to be running from it and staining the grass. I never noticed this before with these mushrooms (probably never looked before...lol)
Black-capped Kingfisher has a Conservation Status under the IUCN of Vulnerable www.iucnredlist.org/species/22683249/212490546
There are quite a few colourful kingfishers in Thailand, and Black-capped Kingfisher is particularly eye-catching including for that large red bill. The species is ranked as Vulnerable by the IUCN, mainly due to population declines. This individual was seen at a boardwalk that went some distance along a channel we travelled on by boat. The location was near Laem Phak Bia in Phetchaburi province.

Sunset on the Golden Cap - situated between Bridport and Charmouth it's the highest point on the south coast of the UK. Well worth the climb..!

Südamerika gefahren sind. Seit 1988 ist die CAP SAN DIEGO ein Museumsschiff, seit 2003 zudem maritimes Denkmal und schwimmendes Hotel, das heute seinen Liegeplatz an der Überseebrücke in Hamburg hat. Mehrmals im Jahr legt die CAP SAN DIEGO zu Museumsfahrten mit bis zu 500 Passagieren ab.

It is very quiet here this morning. 32 degrees and raining, totally iced over and no body or vehicle is moving.
Find a safe place to stand and never move! lol

The snow-capped peaks of the Pyrenees mountains, which form a natural border between France to the north and Spain to the south, seen from Jet2 Boeing 737-800 G-JZDG flying at 35,000 feet from Palma de Mallorca to Birmingham today.
Machinist Tony Bueno uses a fusee to thaw out frozen grease caps on Rio Grande SD40T-2 No. 5371 in the small enginehouse at Helper, Utah, on a frigid December 1, 2004. Once the caps are off, he will add the thick, self-contained, dark-green traction motor grease packs to each of the locomotives six traction motors.
I love watching these guys bounce around the trees looking for food. He found himself a tasty little morsal here.
You can see a little piece of spider web caught on his feathers right about his eye. Its what I think it is anyways.
I decided to try and capture some birds again with Fall Maples as a backdrop. Seeing as how I started a little earlier in the season AND so have the trees, the background in my first attempts were a lot more red than anticipated but I thought it made for an interesting image nonetheless.
