The artifacts of commerce lie fallow in an apparently empty major port city. The red/copper/green palette evokes a muddled American banknote. These cues prompt the viewer to examine our complicated relationship with commerce: its necessity, how it benefits humanity, and the need to make sure it is constrained by a substantive focus on human well-being.
