A Capacity building workshop on Sovereign Lending was delivered at the Shelter Afrique Head office in Nairobi, Kenya, from 17th – 19 October 2022. The training was organized by the Policy, Research and Partnerships Unit at Shelter Afrique and delivered by the African Development Institute of the African Development Bank Group

 

The aim of the training was to enhance capacities on Sovereign Lending to enable Shelter Afrique achieve its mandate of providing innovative solutions to the Affordable housing and Urban Development challenges in Africa.

Un atelier de renforcement de capacité sur le prêt souverain a été livré au siège social de Shelter-Afrique à Nairobi, Kenya, du 17 au 19 octobre 2022. La formation a été organisée par l'Unité de Politique, de Recherche et de Partenariats à Shelter Afrique et délivrée par l'Institut Africain de Développement de la Banque Africaine de Développement.

 

Le but de la formation était de renforcer les capacités sur le prêt souverain pour permettre à Shelter-Afrique de réaliser son mandat de fournir des solutions innovatrices aux défis du logement abordable et du développement urbain en Afrique.

Creating Local Connections West Africa realized the potentials of young people as development actors through information and communications technologies.

I and my team coordinated, supported and enhanced existing local level efforts of youth to deal with common challenges.such as advancement of democracy, economic empowerment, reducing stigma and raising awareness about HIV/AIDS. Thus, the ultimate objective we focused on includes; increased levels of issue awareness, engagement and empowerment of youth within Nigeria . community

Through this partnership @CREAWKenya, @FranceinKenya and Hewlett_Found, we believe in the power of collaboration with youth-led women rights organzization by strengthening their capacity in advancing, promoting and amplifying gender equality in their communities.

As part of the Fiscal Transition Support Programme (FTSP) in West Africa, the OECD is organising a transfer pricing capacity building workshop from 5 to 7 March 2024 in Accra, Ghana, attended by representatives from 13 West African countries’ tax administrations, and from the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) and the West African Economic and Monetary Union (WAEMU) Commissions.
