Tulip in Black and White.

Went for a walk down Dumbarton Castle last night and caught the last of this lovely sunset over the harbour and town centre.

Forget-me-not flowers and a silver thimble that has been passed down to me through the ladies in my family, originally from my Great Grandmother.

In Englands Victorian times, silver thimbles were often gifted from a gentleman to his sweetheart which would be worn around the waist in a small pouch attached to a chain. The pouch would also contain a small pair of scissors and a needle case.

Fine pins for velvet.

Early one morning before the frost melts. The air is sharp and your breath is cloudy and white, but your mind is clear and hopeful as you wait for the sun to come up.

Dartmoor National Park.

Probably my favourite capture from Richmond park, the stag wandering amongst the ferns, his antlers partly broken from fighting, but he still stands tall and proud in the morning mist ready to go again.

Lovely sunset over Cheshire, North West England 25th April 2023.

Took myself up to Tarbert tonight to take in the sunset after a few grey days. I wasn’t disappointed, popped into the Tarbet hotel for a pint after. Slainte.

Sweet tiny flowered Geranium. So many colours, so many types. What would Summer be without them.

10/30 April Photo a Day and you can't beat a spiral st\aircase - one of my photo challenge staples - along with a record deck, and some London Underground shots! Saving those for now but they'll be along shortly when I am stuck no doubt.

Early evening and a shop window is being re-designed inside. Outside, they make a statement with pictures.

A walk we do many times. Standing on the bridge looking down the river, taking in the reflections and the sounds of the flowing river.
