Flamborough Head is a promontory, 8 miles long on the Yorkshire coast of England, between the Filey and Bridlington bays of the North Sea. It is a chalk headland, with sheer white cliffs. The cliff top has two standing lighthouse towers, the oldest dating from 1669 and Flamborough Head Lighthouse built in 1806
A lighthouse was first built on the Flamborough Headland in 1669 but was never lit. The current lighthouse was built in 1806 and acts as a waypoint for deep sea vessels and coastal traffic as well as marking the Flamborough Headland for vessels heading for the ports of Scarborough and Bridlington.

When I heard snow was coming I needed to take a day off work for sure! Luckily that was possible so I could enjoy this awesome morning in a forest in the Netherlands.

Today I went out for some grocery shopping an I checked when the moon was due on my phone. And I thought I would give it a try. Didnt have my tripod with me. And it was so dark that its hard to get a good exposure. Tried all sorts of adjustments but it went pretty much sideways:p This exposure was shot at 1/60 of a sec handheld. Iso 400 at f 2,8.
I darkened a bit and took out some color in the lower part. This is shot from the top of Midtstubakken (a ski jump hill close to the more famous Holmenkollbakken).
The city is Oslo and this part is called Groruddalen.
One exposure, no merge.. Only some heavy tweaking in Lightroom:p The moon color however is the true one. Today we had the eclipse this morning and the sunlight is traveling through the earths atmosphere and therefore the very reddish color.
Maybe somewhat too experimental for most but the lousy exposure drove me outside the box:p
Happy easter all!
De Biesbosch National Park is one of the few freshwater tidal areas of the world. Several rivers come together to form a freshwater delta of approximately 8,000 hectares. The nature reserve is subjected to the influence of the tides and has unique flora and fauna. The leisure facilities are set up in such a way that you will have everything you need, and sit back to see nature take its course without disturbance.
Beavers, Kingfishers and Sea Eagles
You can stroll or bike through De Biesbosch National Park, but the most exciting way to explore the nature reserve is by boat. You can rent a boat or canoe yourself, or join an organized tour in an electric boat and admire the creeks and willow trees in the Biesbosch. Guides will point out the flora and fauna in this area.
The beaver is the most remarkable animal of the Biesbosch. By now these rodents have built over a hundred lodges in the Biesbosch wetlands. In addition, hundreds of bird species are breeding in the area as well, including some 20 pairs of kingfishers. The sea eagle is a frequent guest, being spotted in the area throughout the year. The Biesbosch is truly a water paradise.
Activities in the Biesbosch
Hiking, boating, canoeing, biking, fishing, birdwatching, horseback riding, and swimming are just some of the things you can do in De Biesbosch National Park. There are excursions throughout the year, such as bird walks, bike/boating trips and hiking excursions. Please contact the visitor centers in Drimmelen and Dordrecht to plan an activity or to receive additional information about the Biesbosch. If you would like to combine the tranquility of nature with the bustle of the city, Dordrecht is only a stone's throw away with its historic center, cafés and terraces.
On my wander out in the hills during the week to try and shoot poppies I found several small patches . I put on my 70-200 and zoomed in on a few single poppies where I shot a number of number of images which I`ll post another time. A bit of cleaning up around the stem with the clone tool and the content aware tool as it was a bit too busy .

Another photo from last year's photoshoot with Sara and Nana the Weimaraner. I captured those wonderful moments on the hillside of the Ślęża mountain.
