“This annual community wide toy and food drive, which communities from all corners of Chatham-Kent come together to support, has collected hundreds of thousands toys and canned goods over the years. On Saturday, November 30, 2024 at 12 p.m., everyone in Chatham-Kent is invited to put a gift on their doorstep. Volunteers will pick up the gifts and get them in the right hands this holiday season.”
This was a top-5 find of the year for me: an inchworm that commits so much to looking like a bit of dead plant material that it actually sways in time with the breeze just like a real dead leaf would. The swaying actually made it a little difficult to photograph, because it kept moving in and out of the focal plane. Luckily I managed this shot after only a few attempts, so I was able to let it go back to its business without much bother. This is a single flash shot.
