Model Anna Olsson from our latest shoot with the theme post party.

This is my third real estate video. It was all shot on a canon 5D2 with 17-40mm and a 70-200 f4 IS. Most of it was on a tripod and cheap manfrotto fluid head. The moving shots were with a blackbird handheld stabilizer. Transcoded the raw footage usiing MPEG streamclip into XDCAM EX 1080p30 and exported from Final Cut Pro (after editing) using quicktime conversion. I shot it at night to avoid battling with bright daytime windows. No extra lighting. Simple edit...just white balance, desaturated the overall video, and added some contrast and sharpening. As it is my third video, there is much to learn and I appreciate your comments and suggestions.

The Nagas walking towards the sangam for the holy dip.

A typical dutch bike is something like this - comfortable, cheap, not new (i'd even say it must be old :))

I got a new watch and had to shoot it. I used Elinchrom strobes, diffusion and reflector to bounce the light.

This is me after setting up the camera and explaining to Umesh how to go about clicking a photo. Multiple tries later, we have a decent photo!

My father worked at this factory for 35 years. Then a couple of years ago they decided to cease all activity there. Such a shame since the factory was actually working very well.

Taken up at Morialta Conservation Park today. This shot is made up of 9 photos, sticked in Photoshop CS4 using photomerge. A little bit of saturation and vibrance added to boost the colours. Some USM added to the background layer. Borders and sig added at the end. Thought I would put some a name under this photo on the black boarder for something different.

View On Black but here is a bigger version there too for those that want to download a 3 meg file.

About Morialta Conservation Park

Morialta Conservation Park is well known for its impressive waterfalls, deep gorges and lush, wooded hillsides, just 20 minutes drive from the city at the base of the Adelaide Hills.

A popular place for rock climbers and bushwalkers of all abilities, Morialta includes trails suitable for prams as well as more challenging climbs that offer breathtaking views across the hills to the city.

Try the First Falls Plateau Hike, Second Falls Gorge Hike or the Three Falls Grand Hike that take you up steep hills, rewarding your effort with views of tumbling waterfalls and scenic valleys. Keep an eye out for abseilers and rockclimbers who regularly tackle the escarpments between Second and Third Falls.

Those after a more leisurely experience can stroll along Fourth Creek to the First Falls, where water seasonally plunges down a 30 metre high rockface.

Clicked last year at Lavasa in Pune. Such a beautiful place especially during the rains. I just wish I would have focused on her left eye instead of her right. Hard to do with a manual focus only lens with such a shallow depth of field.

A Naga Sadhu after taking the holy dip at Sangam ( Confluence of 3 holy rivers - Ganga, Yamuna & the mythical Saraswati), on the auspicious occasion of "Mauni Amavasya" during the Maha Kumbh Mela at Allahabad in February 2013.

Took this shot down at Hallett Cove Conservation Park. Had it in TV mode when I took these, by the time I noticed the tide had come in and could get back to this spot. Still turned out ok for HDR.

Three photos taken (-2,0,+2EV), then taken into Photomatix using Details Enhancer. Some colour adjustment done in Photoshop, USM and increase the contrast for the rock and cliff face.

Hallett Cove Conservation Park

Hallett Cove is one of Australia's most outstanding geological and archaeological sites, recording an Australian ice age some 280 million years ago and providing a treasure chest of more than 1,700 Aboriginal artefacts. Magnificently developed glacial pavements along the northern cliff tops are recognised as the best record of Permian glaciation in Australia and being of worldwide significance. The park also conserves native flora and fauna and has a beach for swimming and fishing.

History

Aboriginal stone implements were first discovered in Hallett Cove in 1934 with more than 1,700 artefacts being collected over a period of 30 years. Professor Ralph Tate was the first person to realise that South Australia had been subjected to an ice age when he discovered the cove's smoothed and striated glacial pavement in 1875. The area was proclaimed as a conservation park in 1976 for the protection of its outstanding scientific and historic features.

Natural Attractions

The fascinating geological history of Hallett Cove is traced in its dark Pre-Cambrian rocks which were once under a sea that covered a vast area of South Australia 600 million years ago. About 500 million years ago the region was squeezed by massive earth movements which folded rocks and formed them into mountain ranges. Such folds are clearly seen at the southern foot of Black Cliff and along the wave cut platform to the north. Four main periods of the geological history of Hallett Cove are described along the park's interpretative walking trails.
