I wasn't going to post this one of planting near Victoria Park in Bath but after the death of Her Majesty The Queen I felt it appropriate. My first visit to Bath was in 1977, an abiding memory were the colour scheme of red white and blue planting for the Silver Jubilee. A life dedicated to our nation, a calm and steady influence, she oversaw great changes in the world. She will be missed.
For a wile now I have been working on a project that I want to turn into a book. It is about toys of my youth.. We grew up pore so it is more about toys I wish I would have had, not ones that I actually did have. This is a series of Lego People. Growing up I only had one set of Lego, I got for Christmas one year, and it did not have any people. I created many things with the limited amount of those plastic building blocks I did have.

Hempstead Lake State Park, NY. This bird's nest collapsed from wind and rain this very morning. Park rangers rescued the two chicks, cleaned them up, and set up a nest box in a neighboring tree. Unfortunately, this chick's sibling fell out of the tree. It somehow made its way to another tree in a grove 100 yards away, and hauled itself up by its beak and talons. Birders located the other chick and its mother, who perched nearby with a watchful eye. The male owl had also been seen in the area. We all hope the two adults can keep their separated chicks safe and fed for the several additional weeks it will take for them to fledge.

Elk are one of the largest members of the deer family. Large males, called bulls, can weigh several hundred pounds and stand five feet at the shoulder. Females are called cows and are roughly half that size. A dark brown mane, light-brown bodies and white rumps characterize both sexes. They grow a thicker coat of hair each winter which they shed each spring.
Only males have antlers, which grow in the spring and drop each winter. Antlers can grow up to an inch a day. They are covered with a protective layer of velvety skin. When the antlers are fully grown, the bulls scrape this layer off. Source: www.nps.gov/romo/learn/nature/elk.htm
