Today's clouds with sun beams all over the place were spectacular. I ended up at this overlook and decided to stay for the sunset. This is a Pigeon point lighthouse looking at today's exceptional sunset. It was very windy, but a sturdy tripod did a good job for this long exposure. I decided to try a long exposure to smudge the fast moving clouds.

Another boat but this time in Bali. Someone left a whole load of these boats just lying around on the beach for people to photograph.

un saludote!
Some lenses are fantastic. And the pop they produce can't be matched by modern lenses.

Brisbane is in the southeast corner of Queensland. The city is centred along the Brisbane River, and its eastern suburbs line the shores of Moreton Bay, a bay of the Coral Sea. The greater Brisbane region is on the coastal plain east of the Great Dividing Range, with the Taylor and D'Aguilar ranges extending into the metropolitan area. Brisbane's metropolitan area sprawls along the Moreton Bay floodplain between the Gold and Sunshine coasts, approximately from Caboolture in the north to Beenleigh in the south, and across to Ipswich in the south west.
Taken around lake Elizabeth in Fremont.
I have been eyeing this shot for a while, and was finally able to take advantage of the conditions. This small pond near lake Elizabeth is mostly dry throughout the year. Sometimes it has water in it, but half of the pond just stays muddy. Anyway, I noticed that recently the pond got filled up and decided to get up early to give it a shot. When I got there the low fog/clouds completely covered the Mission peak and it did not look promising. However, I got one thing on my wish list - no wind, and mirror like reflection of the hills and sky. I started checking out different angles and when sunrise time approached I noticed that the top of the hills got cleared up. The sun came up and illuminated the hills with brilliant light. I start shooting, and next thing I see is that a small low cloud is forming again over the Mission peak. I had to work quickly… Yeap, a minute after I take this shot the cloud swallowed up the Mission peak, and it was the end of it.
I am happy that the sky opened up for me right when it mattered. If you live nearby, check this location out (morning or evening – with clouds) while the pond is full. Cheers.
