I want candy
I want candy
(You know what I want)
I want candy
(Let's go)
I know a girl who's tough but sweet
She's so fine, she can't be beat
She's got everything that I desire
Sets summer sun on fire
Let's go, yeah
You know what I want now
You know what I want now
You know what I want now
Come on
I want candy
(That's what I want man)
(That's what I want)
I want candy
(I gotta have it)
I want candy
(It's what I want)
(It's what I want)
I want candy
So now off to see her when the sun goes down
Cause there ain't no finer girl in town
She got the plans, what the doctor ordered
(Oh, you know)
Baby girl, you're so sweet
You make my mouth water
(Yeah, oh yeah)
Come on
You know what I want now
You know what I want now
You know what I want now
Come on
I want candy
(That's what I want man)
(That's what I want)
I want candy
(I gotta have it)
I want candy
(It's what I want)
(It's what I want)
I want candy
C-A-N-D-Y
Say I want candy
(I want candy)
[x2]
It's the only thing I want
It's the only thing I need
So give it to me please eeh
Candy on the beach there's nothing better
But I like the candy all wrapped in a sweater
Someday soon I'll make you mine
And then I'll have candy all the time
Uuuh whoa
I want candy
(That's what I want man)
(That's what I want)
I want candy
(Give it to me now, baby, yeah)
I want candy
(I can't wait no more, baby, yeah)
I want candy
I want candy
(Sing it with me now, baby...)

... Willy Wonka makes everything he bakes
Satisfying and delicious
Talk about your childhood wishes
You can even eat the dishes
Who can take tomorrow, dip it in a dream
Separate the sorrow and collect up all the cream
The candy man, Willy Wonka can, the candy man can
The candy man can 'cause he mixes it with love
And makes the world taste good
And the world tastes good'
Cause the candy man thinks it should

On Halloween, kids get to assume, for one night the outward forms of their innermost dread, and they're also allowed to take candy from strangers - the scariest thing of all.

This week I missed my lightning eqipment to capture a candy for macro monday. I found a place in the nearby park and used the bright sunlight for my photograph. It´s a small sugar candy which was so sticky that I could not release it from the silver shining package. (03662)
Into the Light - Day 58 - Year 2022
---------------------------------------------------
Visited my favorite candy store today - "Munson's" on route 6 in Bolton, CT - getting a tasty gift for my sis-in-law and saw this display mounted on the wall next to all the delectable sweets.
-----------------------
The first candy came to America in the early 18th century from Britain and France. Only a few of the early colonists were proficient in sugar work and were able to provide the sugary treats for the very wealthy. Rock candy, made from crystallized sugar, was the simplest form of candy, but even this basic form of sugar was considered a luxury and was only attainable by the rich.
Then came the Industrial Revolution.
The candy business underwent major changes in the 1830s when technological advanced and the availability of sugar opened up the market. The new market was not only for the enjoyment of the rich but also for the pleasure of the working class. There was also an increasing market for children. While some fine confectioners remained, the candy store became a staple of the child of the American working class. Penny candy became the first material good that children spent their own money on.
In 1847, the invention of the candy press allowed manufacturers to produce multiple shapes and sizes of candy at once.

The brass plate on the wall over the rollers reads:
"Drop Roller"
This machine uses changable
rollers to produce hard candy.
A sheet of candy was cooled
to perfect consistency and
fed through these rollers to
make items like "Lemon Drops".
- Circa 1859 -
The maker of this plate could have used a proofreader as there is no such word as 'changable', it is 'changeable'. No intention to be picky about a misspelled word, but, someone dropped the ball and I noticed. Was a graphic designer for 45 years and a misspelled word on anything commercially printed is mortifying, for the designer and the business that provided the product, as well as costly. Surprised no one noticed.

The Shalford Junction-Petersfield blockade runs from 12-20/02/2022 with the vast majority of rail replacement services being operated by coaches. I snapped a few on the first day of the operation.
A pair of Soo Line SD60M haul autoracks towards Shoreham yard in Minneapolis on 07-11-2004. Leading 6061 was built in November 1989 as was the trailing 6062. I liked the candy apple red color scheme which made for great train shots in almost any environment.

Candy fue rescatada del abandono y el maltrato siendo cachorra, ahora es protegida y tiene todo el cuidado que debe tener un ser como ella
A young lady enjoys candy floss. The candy gets a ray of sun and became candy sunlight. The miracle of the summer evening. The beauty is not a model, but stranger. Street photography.
This candy cannon has just fired toward a waiting crowd in a nearby field. This cannon is powered by compressed air and its barrel loaded with treats. A high point of any visit to Cornbelly's.

Inspired by the "PicADay-Xmas Style" group and today's theme of "Candy, Candy Canes, Candy Corn, and Syrup" and the movie "Elf". Elf is one of my favourite christmas movies and that scene in the movie always cracks me up.
So I thought that with the start of my new 365 yesterday it might be fun to do some random facts (plus I've been 'tagged' a few times and it's only fair!).
1. Last night I was a judge for my school's (I work at a high school) Talent Show. It was fun although a little intimidating as we had to sit on stage and act quite official. The show was great and it was fun to see so many creative talents.
2. I went to the doctor on Monday and during my exam found out that my resting heart rate is around 42 bpm! The average is around 70-85 and Olympic athletes are usually in the 30-50 range! All that running and cycling must be working :)
3. I dropped my camera remote in a cup of chocolate almond milk right before taking this shot, the remote survived!
4. Today at work I mistaken for a student by a guest speaker....not the first time it's happened either
5. The one thing I don't like about christmas.....Egg Nog. There, I said it.
6. A Muppet Christmas Carol is my favourite holiday movie.
7. One of my photos was recently asked by the National Scrabble Association to be used on their website/newsletter, I'm being paid in t-shirts. p.s. it's this shot
That's all I can think of at the moment, but I might put in some more tomorrow :)
