I've never found it easy to photograph candles without any other lighting present. I finally restricted the ISO to 100 and manually focussed and exposed, Not great, but the best I have managed so far. Oh tripod mounted. 1/26 sec at F3.4

Yesterday the power went out because of the enormous snow fall and we had to use candlelight to lighten up.
In the Darkness of the Night
It’s nice to have a Candlelight
It fills the Air with a magic Flair
This lovely and romantic Atmosphere
Is Balm for our Soul
But Feelings might get out of Control
There’s nothing better
Than a Candlelight Dinner
Especially in the Night
Of a very cold Winter
