But the music-loving owner of this rugged Jeep Wrangler wants to hear his tunes, even while driving with the top removed and the doors dropped. So the team at our West Carrollton store installed a Kenwood eXcelon CD receiver with Bluetooth, two sets of Kenwood eXcelon speakers, and a JL Audio RD amplifier to crank out an abundance of quality tunes that sound great, at any speed!

We’re excited to share this Transformation Tuesday, from the team at our North Dixie/Stereo-in-Dash location! This Ford Transit cargo van belongs to a Dayton-area triathlete who loves his music. So we converted the boring bare interior into this monster setup with a custom wall housing eight JL Audio 12W3 subs and a custom amp rack with shelves. This installation also utilizes JL Audio 6W3 Mid-Bass drivers, JL Audio C3 Component speakers, the JL Audio Fix 82 (to preserve and enhance the original factory radio), and a pair of Deka Intimidator AGM batteries. This is already shaping up to be an amazing road trip and race-support rig, and we can’t wait to see (and hear) the finished product!

At the 2016 CES show, Kenwood introduced their brand new DRV-410 compact dashboard camera. Kenwood's DRV-410 is small enough to hide behind your rearview mirror, but it’s loaded with features such as Lane Departure Warning, Collision Avoidance Warning, and Parked Incident Recording. It continuously records in wide angle with 4 million pixels (to show detailed images), and it comes with GPS and G Shock Sensor. The DRV-410 will be available for purchase later this spring.

Do you have a “dream car”? Our boss, Zack, had always dreamed of owning a 10th Anniversary Mazda RX-7. And though it took a long time to find one, when given the chance to buy one of only 1500 ever made, he jumped on it. And while the car is awesome and was definitely worth the wait, the audio system sounded like it was from 1988 (because it was), so Zack has been busy making some upgrades! With Rocky Ridge light bars, custom hood & bumpers, big wheels & tires, and a custom red leather interior, this Jeep looks amazing! Our friends at Prestige Pressure Washing Dayton brought us this sweet Silverado, stating that the trailer lights don’t work. Since they pull a trailer every day, this was a big problem! After some careful troubleshooting, we found this severely corroded connector. We eliminated the damaged plug and installed a new 7-way trailer connector in the stock location. And, of course, we sealed the back side of the connector so that this won’t happen again!

Our friends at Prestige Pressure Washing Dayton brought us this sweet Silverado, stating that the trailer lights don’t work. Since they pull a trailer every day, this was a big problem! After some careful troubleshooting, we found this severely corroded connector. We eliminated the damaged plug and installed a new 7-way trailer connector in the stock location. And, of course, we sealed the back side of the connector so that this won’t happen again!

Big iron, big sound, big fun! Back in 2009, we put our custom fabrication skills to work, on this 1975 Chevy Caprice Classic convertible! First, we installed custom-built Plexiglas enclosures with mirrors, in the trunk, for two Diamond Audio D6 subwoofers and the amps. Then we fabricated custom build-outs, in the doors, to house two speakers and "Caprice Classic" logo panels with back lighting. And we installed a pair of Diamond Audio component speaker sets, with mids, in the doors, and tweeters, in the dash. This thing really rocked, and the owner had a blast cruising around town in his awesome party mobile!
