This is a cake I made for my sis-in-law's 40th birthday. She is a bookkeeper. Everything's edible.
I owe special thanks to Karen (Cakebaker_Cakemaker) who also did a calculator cake recently.
www.flickr.com/photos/28032559@N00/4994905085/in/faves-cr... I really wanted to use a different style of image so it wasn't so similar, but this one was the best I could find!
This cake was done in a bit of a rush as I was extremely sick earlier this week with a severe case of Tonsillitis, which is why I've been absent from Flickr a bit! Almost all better now though! :-)
Day 33
Calculus and physics would be a nightmare without my calculator...
I'm actually enjoying both classes so far. There's something quite calming about being able to calculate how quickly my tea is cooling while I write this. Again, the nerd inside me speaks out! Probably because I have a mathleates meet on Wednesday... :P
Oh, and I like this pic. That's why I didn't wait to post it like I thought I would...
Another oh! This will be day 8 on my calender...
A "Smiggle"" calculator, which is a brand that seems to sell fancy stationary that schoolkids are spending big bucks on. Crazy if you ask me, it's no different in function. This one was a birthday present to my son.
It's not really levitating, I've got something under it :)
Day 212 of 365 Days in Colour - Day 2 of June, Green.
Taken with iPhone 4S.
First Appearance - Detective Comics #463
The origins of the Calculator and the advanced technology that he used are unknown. He was known to have had one conflict with Mikaal Tomas, the alien Starman, before disappearing for years. When he returned, he began to progressively attack the Justice League of America, allowing them to defeat him once so his computer could deduce their methods, and then went on to defeat them on their second encounter.
The Calculator continued his spree in Gotham City, and was defeated by Batman, but quickly escaped and headed to Central City. There the entire JLA that he had defeated came to take him down, but he had prepared for this, and was able to defeat them. But he had not prepared for Batman entirely. Batman led Calculator into a trap by predicting how Calculator would try to counter him, and was able to defeat the villain and send him to jail.
The only graphing calculator with a capacitive touch-screen, allowing pinch to zoom on graphs. Exam approved. Allows RPN operation. Faster operation than any TI calculator, and easier to use than the TI Nspire.
I acquired two HP Primes for my children who are in Jr. High and High school. The Primes were purchased from Walmart in the USA, which as of July 2018 was the lowest priced seller of any I could find. I myself own an HP28S which is purchased for engineering school in 1989, and a 48GX with 128MB FRAM card and Meta Kernel, and the 50g.

This calculator allows you to enter job parameters and see how using "MJ Field Lok" gaskets will save time and money versus traditional techniques; they combine pipe attachment and pipe restraint into one device, whereas it usually requires two.
Targeted for Flash 6. Designed with Illustrator CS2, built in Flash 8.
This is a photograph of a real iPhone, with the calculator application running. Because of the low viewing angle, the display had low contrast, and a blueish colour cast. This was selectively (partially) corrected with Adobe Photoshop. The chrome edge has significant scratching, which was also disgused by selecting the chrome area and adding a motion blur in the same direction of the edge, again using Photoshop.

When I was a senior at Ohio State University in 1948 and taking statistics, there was only one of these electric calculators in the lab. The rest were hand cranked.

Here is a B&W of the image below. Was able to play with the blue gray tones to lighten the background bokeh to get a nice contrast with the antique calculator.
