the gate is to the left where that step up is and the back door is to the right.
in the fall when it gets cool there is usually a pile of leaves that get blown over there which makes for a nice, warm, comfy spot for him to sleep.
*before anyone has a conniption, no our dogs do not stay outside 24hrs a day. when the weather is nice though, they are out a lot, especially caesar, he prefers being outside actually. when i let him in he'll visit for a bit but often times will go right back to the door and want out. sometimes at night he'll even want to stay out but we don't let him because he barks at anything that moves, lol

They've been putting up these cheeky little remarks at their own expense for the past few weeks, since the projected opening was in February and it kept getting pushed back. I like seeing a business do things like this! It gives them more of a personality instead of existing as just another Little Caesars.
Caesar finds a good book to read. He had quite a selection to choose from, but picked his own Commentaries on the Gallic War as his favorite.

Shortly before I relocated from Greenville, South Carolina to St. Louis, I made a last trip up into the Blue Ridge Mountains to Caesars Head State Park.. I spent some time there enjoying the view, wondering when I would see it again--never imagining it would be more than 14 years (and still counting).

Abstract - This report presents the Caesar’s Forum Project. It furthermore summarizes the results obtained this far while situating the current investigations within the broader research history pertaining to the area best known as that of Caesar’s Forum. Hitherto the 16th–20th century Alessandrino Quarter that until now only received limited scholarly attention has been excavated within the framework of the project. Moreover, the pottery from the 1998–2000 excavations conducted by the Sovrintendenza Capitolina ai Beni Culturali has been processed in preparation for the ongoing excavations, which are expected to reveal material similar to that from previous excavations, spanning a cultural horizon of more than 3000 years.

Caesar Chicken Wraps,
flour tortillas
creamy Caesar salad dressing
cooked chicken breast chopped or
canned chunk chicken breast (drained) 13 oz.
3/4 cup Caesar croutons mashed up
6 cups romaine lettuce torn into bite size pieces or chopped
1/4 cup grated fresh Parmesan cheese
Mix up and toss.
Place on tortillas and roll up.
Wrap.
Put in refrigerator.
Cut before serving.

Caesar House, situated opposite the Arcaded House is the magnificent palace where the Pozsony (Pressburg/Bratislava) parliament met in 1861; in reference to the building which is there it is also known as the "Green House". It was built in the second half of the 18th C from medieval houses and part of the inner town wall. A giant Renaissance corner oriel window, flanked by Gothic windows, adorns the street side; on the courtyard side the wide Renaissance arcaded loggias are eye-catching. The name is attributed to the Caesar family who owned the palace from the end of the 19th C to the middle of the 20th C.

Cézár ház a Szent Orsolya templommal a háttérben.
Az épület műemlék, története elválaszthatatlanul összefügg a vele szomszédos városfalak keletkezésével és átalakulásával. A terület az egykori római belváros része, ahol a III. század végi városfal építésekor megszüntetett lakóházak és egy római faltorony nyomait tárták fel. A középkorban, amikor a mai városszerkezet kialakult, a város déli kijárata a római városkaputól mintegy 140 méterre nyitott “Hátsókapu”-hoz került át. Az ekkor (1280-1340 között) kiépített hármas városfalhoz és ennek kaputornyához támaszkodott a mai Caesar-ház helyén, saroktelken álló épületcsoport, amely két, egyes kutatók szerint három épületből állt.
A műemléki helyreállításakor feltárták a gótikus állapot sok szép, ma is látható részletét, s az északnyugati oromfalat, az emelet egy-egy gótikus ablakát, a kapualj kőhevederét és a pincébe vezető kőkeretes ajtókat, továbbá az épületnek a várfalszorossal való kapcsolatát.
A feltárás igazolta, hogy az épület a XV-XVI. században emeletes volt, mindkét szárnyában nagyméretű borospincével. (A beépítés magasságát jelzi egy, a padlástérben fennmaradt felirat: “1549. D. A.”) A XV. századra keltezik azt az építési periódust, amikor a hármas várfalgyűrű legbelső övéhez tapadó lakóház a városfallal összeépült, a városfal épülethomlokzattá lett.Ekkor alakult ki – a XI. századi földsánc szintjének lesüllyesztésével – a várfalszorosnak a mai utcaszintnél 2,5 méterrel magasabb késő középkori járószintje. A Caesar-ház udvaráról a bástyakertre kilépve jól megfigyelhető a városfalból lett épülethomlokzat és a falszoros másik oldalán a XIV. századi, római kori alapokra épült középkori városfal, lőréses, pártázatos védőműveivel.
A reformáció térhódítását követően a XVII. században, a polgárság anyagi és szellemi megerősödése és a Sopronban betelepülő gazdag nemesek új lendületet adtak az építési tevékenységének. A folyamat a gótikus Sopront elemésztő 1676. évi tűzvész után lépett döntő szakaszába. A középkori épületrészek összeépítése után ekkor nyeri el mai, egyemeletes, reneszánsz-ízű kora barokk alakját a Caesar-ház. Utcai homlokzatát köténydíszes ablakok, egy hengeres, zárt sarokerkély díszíti. Kapuja toszkán pilléres, kapupárkány felett fekvő volutákkal. A homlokzat emeleti szakaszának józan, lizénás tagolása már XVIII. századi. Belső udvara a polgári reprezentáció igényei szerint, toszkán oszlopos, árkádos kiképzésű. A stukkómunkát P. A. Conti szobrász készítette 1700 körül.
Az ekkor már “Zöld ház” nevet viselő épület ebben az állapotban érte meg a Hátsókapu 1821 évi lebontását. Ez után a városfal szabadon maradt utcai szakaszát üzlettel építették be, felette teraszt készítettek.
Végül, 1822.ben elkészült a várfaldarab helyét kitöltő, barokk homlokzathoz igazodó háromtengelyes, emelete3s toldalékszárny is.
A műemléki helyreállítás (1959-1964) az elavult, háborúban megrongálódott lakóház rehabilitálásával elérte célját: a középkori és barokk kori értékek megőrzésével az épületben öt, a bástyakert felőli szárnya helyén egy további kétszintes, korszerű igényeket kielégítő lakás született.
A Caesar-ház tulajdonosai ( a teljesség igénye nélkül) és kultúrtörténeti adatai:
A ház 1379. évi, telekkönyvben szereplő tulajdonosai: Biberauer Márton városi kamarás (első ház), Keresztély mödlingi kereskedő (második ház). Később mindkét épület a Schadendorfer kereskedőcsalád tulajdona (1404, 1459).
A XV. századtól kezdve városi tisztségviselők, patríciuscsaládok neve szerepel a tulajdonosok sorában. A városi tanács ekkor még nem rendelkezik állandó városházával, így a mindenkori városbíró háza a városi főhivatal. Így volt ez Schadendorfer Mátyás városbíró hivatali működése idején is: 1420. március 12-én a Caesar-ház helyén álló épületben tárgyalta a tanács Nicky Benedek, környékbeli nemesember – rablólovag – ügyét. A hozott halálos ítéletet a ház udvarán hajtották végre. (Az örökös pénzzavarral küzdő Zsigmond király 3000 forint pénzbírsággal büntette a várost az önkényes ítélkezésért.
Az iparos- és kereskedőcsaládok után 1628-tól az Artner család birtoklását őrzi a krónika.
A kor jelentős belpolitikai eseménye, az 1681. évi főrendházi nádorválasztó országgyűlés e falak között zajlott. Feljegyezték, hogy a választást követően a kor népszerű költője, Gyöngyösi István verssel hódolva üdvözölte az új nádort, gróf Esterházy Pált, de köszöntőjét később nyílvánossan viszavonta. Ettől az időtől fogva az épület neve- pozsonyi mintára – “Zöld ház”.
A Zöld házban született többek között a gázálarc feltalálója Mártonyi Károly.
A Caesar házban nyílt meg az első soproni leányközépiskola 1871-ben, “Sopron városi hitfelekezeti különbség nélküli, kétosztályú, magyar-német tannyelvű felső leánytanoda” néven.
A Caesar leszármazottak 1952-ig tulajdonosai a nevüket viselő háznak.
