An old photo from 2012, of the old Caddy when it still sat in front of it's barn. This one features quite a lot of snow on the car - this was kind of rare, as it would either melt off fairly quickly, or blow away. It's the only time I caught the car looking like this.
I've shared a version of this shot before, but it was heavily processed and as I've gotten older I've discovered that I don't like the over-processed look of some of these pictures. So from time to time I like to have a do-over on these - in this case I just adjusted the exposure a tad, cropped it, and let it be.
Today's story and sketch "by me", is not so much about the beautiful Forty Nine Caddy Convertible being driven by Clayton Claxton, a Beaked Being from the Aves Constellation, the Caddy he and his wife Eyeri chose when the took advantage of the "PBR" Playa Beautimus Resort retirement condo package, offered by, "JBRRDP", JB and Rescue Randy Desert Properties, which included free transportation from their home planet Carimid, a beautiful Condominium overlooking Lake Havasu, and a Hot Rod that was restored by "RRHR" Rescue Randy's Hot Rods. Clayton's problem is not with the Cadillac's performance, which is awesome because of the LS-7's Five hundred Five horsepower under the hood, but running out of fuel is a recurring problem, with ninety percent of the Beaked Beings who retire at "PBR". JB thinks it is their lackadaisical way of life, and failure to look at the fuel gauge, Rescue Randy thinks it could be because of the Mojave Deserts one hundred forty degree daytime temperatures affecting their judgment, either way it keeps JB's mobile fuel business busy, as you see JB above coming to the rescue. Until next time taa ta the Rod Blog.
