With this batch of Hot Wheels now appearing in Poundland sold in long US cards its even easier and cheaper to pick up my favourite VW Caddy. This really does look hot from every angle, i'm dreading when they finally bring out a liveried version with no tampo treatment to both ends! This original orange version really helps this crisp square cut casting stand out and will surely be seen as a future classic by collectors. Mint and boxed.
Hot Wheels have wisely continued with their excellent VW Caddy with yet another new colour scheme. Not quite as plain as the previous ones but certainly nothing too wacky or unrealistic. Thankfully the front end still gets the excellent tampo treatment which is one of the many high points of this casting along with its crisp styling and uber cool subject matter. New batch distribution for Hot Wheels seems to be getting better again in the U.K. with this one coming from Wilkinsons. Mint and boxed.
Hand sewn hexie pin cushion caddy. I've been drooling over all the ones I've been seeing on here lately and just had to make one. I couldn't find a pattern that made one small enough to suit me, so I made my own. Finished size is 3" tall & 5.5" wide with a storage opening just under 3" across. I filled the bottom with flax seed before topping it off with fiberfill, so it is heavy enough to double as a pattern weight.
This was taken at an auto show near Chicago.

VW Caddy. Super clean engine bay; shaved of all extraneous wire looms, hoses, and piping. Even the compressor for the hydraulics is hidden. This was a popular vehicle being photographed at the show.

Setting the benchmark when it comes to clever use of space and groundbreaking efficiency, the new Caddy is master of every task. You can squeeze in 3.2m3 of load in the Caddy, while its bigger brother, the Caddy Maxi, will take an excellent 4.2m3.
