My sister and I, saw this beautiful newborn baby bull, while driving around on a fall foliage run. We named him after the road he was born near.

Volkswagen built the second generation of the Caddy between 1996 and 2004. It was designed and assembled in Spain by Seat, which also sold the car as Seat Inca.

A little different look at my car.

The Alan Caddy Orchestra & Singers, ‘6 Top Hits EP’, 1971. Six more cover-version songs for 30p and compulsory cheesecake cover to transport you to Pop Heaven. Alan Caddy’s “gold mounted baton goading his orchestra into a faithful rendering of whatever sound is currently sending the record buying masses into a frenzy” it says on the back sleeve. Rock n Roll, phew…

As you could see it has some nicks and dents. Its sporting the original paint job...... Amazing.....

The third generation of Volkswagen Caddy debuted in the end of 2003, at the RAI Commercial Vehicle Show in Amsterdam, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles debuted the Typ 2K Caddy panel van.

The Typ 2K shares 50% of its modules with the Volkswagen Golf Mk5 and Volkswagen Touran. The new model Caddy has a more aerodynamic design, the angle of the windscreen and A pillar is more horizontal, making the dashboard bigger and the bonnet (hood) smaller.

The full Caddy line up is pretty versatile. There are two body sizes: "normal" and Maxi. These can both be configured as a Panel Van, a Window Panel Van, Kombi (spartan passenger version), Caddy Life (family version), and a Camping version called the Caddy Tramper or Caddy Life Camper.

A Caddy Life or Kombi seats up to five in two rows while a Caddy Life Maxi or Kombi Maxi seats up to seven in three rows. The Life version has interior trimmings like that of a conventional five seater wagon while the Kombi is a naked panel van with windows and seats. The difference in road noise between the two is described by some as substantial.

In 2015, a Volkswagen Caddy taxi was badly damaged when TransAsia Flight 235 clipped it before crashing into a river in Taiwan. The occupants in the taxi were not killed.

I can't deny falling for this excellent new VW Caddy model by Hot Wheels. A very unexpected but welcome choice from the brand that usually knows what genre of vehicle most collectors want. Being a Hot Wheels it naturally looks a bit customised with flared wheelarches but otherwise its a pretty sharp casting with great detailing. The new silver version has also just been released.

Mint and boxed.

This weekend finds me in Bozeman, MT. I got to help some old friends. Marsha and Doug from ƒ/11 Photo, asked me to come to town and speak to their customers. I had a wonderful time!

On Sunday, I was able to sneak in some image making time and was shown a very cool old junk yard. I was like a kid in a candy store!!

The macro on this camera continues to impress me.

Dating from one of my personal favourite periods of Matchbox history, this 2008 VW Caddy was actually bought brand new in October 2014 from my local WHSmith store. A great example of the breadth of different licensed vehicles Matchbox were making at the time, this VW Caddy is both very well detailed and cast. Its crazy how this level of attention to detail and subject matter has declined sharply for the Matchbox brand in latter years. Mint and boxed.

Just the car to have to glide around Portlandia in style.
