CSS Acadia, arrived in Halifax on July 8, 1913. After dedicated service in both peacetime as a survey vessel and in wartime as a patrol and training ship, she became part of the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic on Feb 9, 1980. My father, Walter Spurrell served on this ship during WW II.
