The CSIS Energy and National Security Program is pleased to welcome Fatih Birol, Chief Economist at the International Energy Agency (IEA), to present the IEA's 2014 World Energy Outlook. The global energy landscape is evolving at a rapid pace, reshaping long-held expectations for our energy future. Dr. Birol will help shed light on the rapidly evolving global energy landscape, presenting the WEO's comprehensive analysis of medium- and longer-term energy trends. This year’s edition of the WEO also has a special focus on the outlook for nuclear power and its implications, and an in-depth study of sub-Saharan Africa, highlighting the prospects for improving access to modern energy services and for developing the region’s huge resource potential in a way that contributes not only to regional and global energy balances, but also to local and social well-being.

Sarah Ladislaw, Director and Senior Fellow with the CSIS Energy and National Security Program, will moderate.

Summary of CSI season 1-7 dvd

Horatio Caine, a former homicide detective, heads a group of investigators who work crimes amid the steamy, tropical surroundings and cultural crossroads of Miami. His team includes Calleigh Dusquene, a bilingual Southern beauty with a specialty in ballistics; Tim Speedle, a cocky yet disarming investigator who is well connected on the street, and Eric Delko, an underwater recovery expert who knows all the twists and turns of the Florida waterways. Rounding out the team is Alexx Woods, the no-nonsense, know-it-all coroner. And, after Speedle is killed in Action, Former Patrolman Ryan Wolfe joins the team. Together, these investigators collect and analyze the evidence to solve the crimes and to vindicate those who often cannot speak for themselves -- the victims...

On behalf of the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) and the Centre for International Governance (CIGI), we invite you to join us for a high-level conference to take stock of the accomplishments achieved during the Canadian Arctic Council Chairmanship, such as the inauguration of the Arctic Economic Council, and to look forward to the major themes of the upcoming U.S. Chairmanship of the Arctic Council in 2015. The conference will engage senior officials and experts as they examine future challenges and opportunities for cooperation in the Arctic region, as well as the future of the Arctic Council in light of current geopolitical tensions with Russia.

The Global Security Forum, CSIS’s marquee conference, surveys a range of major security issues confronting the United States. By bringing together senior decisionmakers, opinion leaders, and perspectives from the private and public sectors, the Forum fosters open conversation and brings forth the best solutions to the biggest security challenges of the day.
