Emily Procter (aka Calleigh Duquesne)
Right place, right attitude, right time. I happened to be in Seal Beach and saw filming on the beach. Actors aside, I personally love to see the production and filming: Behind-the-scenes fascinates me.
I walked down a narrow beach access ramp (between homes) planning to take a few photos, when a (very large) security guard (very politely) informed me this was a 'closed set' -- only actors, crew, directors (et al) allowed. Understood. I was in no hurry, so I asked the man a few questions. He asked me a few questions, and we both actually enjoyed chatting; his 'station' was infrequently-traveled, so I imagine he appreciated the distraction.
On the set perimeter there are other people who also ensure security. One in a suit (another big guy!) saw me, with camera, and came over. Another pleasant conversation, and I asked if I could take a few photos from there; the actors and directors were in view, apparently having a filming discussion. He said I couldn't photograph them, but said to wait, and I saw him walk over to Emily Procter and the crew that I'd asked to photograph. He came back shortly and invited me onto the set to meet one of the stars, actress Emily Procter. She was a real sweetheart, even offering to pose with me for a couple of shots... then on to her next scene.
I don't know why (Emily Procter may have said something) but instead of being directed off the set, I was invited to roam around and take photos... Just stay out of the scenes, make no noise, and don't share the photos until the episode aired. Check, check check!
The organization on the set was very impressive, like a 'well-oiled machine'!
