Crystalled Beast, 2011
Woodfired porcelain
4" long x 3" wide x 4" tall

This beast was right in the front of the wood kiln. The vast amount of ash that accumulated on it during the firing gave it a whole variety of colors and textures. It is covered with tiny round crystals.

The flash was on the left back side, with the head on level with the crystal.
