Crossways has extensive workshops in it’s Gloucester home, they are very rarely used to their full potential and cost the company a lot of money to keep up and running.
To help subsidize this cost and help pay towards running fleet investment Crossways is offering a small range of vehicle improvements to operators already carried out on our own fleet and a few vehicles from the Urbanbus Scotland fleet on Flickr.
The current range of vehicle improvements will be:
The fitting of wheelchair lifts to step entrance vehicles- Full size single deckers and double deckers this is done by widening the front door and the fitting of a lift (as already carried out on 14 Urbanbus Scotland Volvo Olympians) whereas on any other vehicle size the lift is located elsewhere.
The fitting of Wright Micro Hybrid Technology – During the retrofit programme we acquired the technology needed to retrofit wright Micro Hybrid technology to almost any vehicle, a technology currently used by 90% of the Crossways fleet.
The fitting of Audi Stop start technology – A technology currently used in all Crossways group fleets.
The removal and replacement of most rearward facing seats – Only offered on the Mk1/2 Mercedes citaro (1999 – 2014), this removes and replaces all but the rearward facing seats on the rear wheels.
The replacement of Dot – Matrix destination displays – Replacement of these displays with LED equivalents.
Any operator wishing for us to improve vehicles for them are more than welcome to comment below. They will be required to provide a net however for me to do improvements on.
Dernière année de circulation des Crossway sur la Corol 32, en effet elle sera reprise par Keolis Bordeaux Métropole Mobilités dès septembre en raison de la nouvelle DSP.
