I was playing with light and came up with this composition. The petals of the flowers almost seem creamy.

Creamy both in colour and texture - the soft petals of a rose ;o)

I often park near this dahlia garden, and tell myself to photograph it next time. Today was finally that next time.
Strawberries and Cream.
Photo taken for Macro Monday's group.
Each week we post one or two images showing our depiction of the weekly theme. This week's theme is 'Creamy."
I only gave it about 24 tries and got these three keepers.
I couldn't decide which one I liked the most and even had some friends help me pick. Still undecided. What are your thoughts?
Strobist: Single SB800 in rear panel of a home made foam core 20"x30" lightbox at about 1/4 power. Fired with a Cactus V4 wireless trigger. Manual focus and exposure 250th second @f 5.6. Shutter fired manually as it hit. My only thing I would have done different is I would have it darker on the right side by adding some black to that side of the box and I would have shot it from a bit higher viewpoint.

A Cadbury's Creme egg. If you don't have these little sirens on your supermarket shelves, they appear as Easter approaches, and tempt me every year! And every year they seem to get smaller too!!
I had great fun and a quite a struggle to get this shot. The plan was simple - to cut one in half, and keep shooting as the fondant cream filling flowed out. But the process was as slow as a glacier moving, and by the time it finally flowed out onto the glass base the entire chocolate shell had melted ;o))

This plant has grown very tall, enjoying life in the new dahlia garden at the farm. That's the pollinator garden in the background.

Carnation flowers are symbolic of love, fascination, and distinction and are scientifically known as Dianthus. They are also known as “The Flowers of God.” So whether you love giving flowers or are an avid gardener, there’s something quite special about carnation flowers.
Photographed in our garden.
Taken with my Canon EOS 7D Mk II and Canon EF 100mm f/2.8L Macro Lens, and framed in Photoshop.

I am really satisfied with the roses in my garden this year. These ones with their creamy-yellow color I like most.
