A destructive little beetle, they can kill an Ash tree if left unchecked.

They are not native to the U.S. and were most likely brought over from Asia in shipping crates.

They were not identified in the U.S. until 2002 and first seen in Canto, Michigan. Now you can find them scattered in areas as far as Colorado and as far south as Louisiana.

If I had known what this was and how destructive they are, I might have crushed his little head!

Colourful crates, which for some reason live on a garage roof.

The second and final crate for the a minifig scale cargo shuttle I'm working on (now done).

This quirky piece of sculpture made of old fruit crates is in the centre of the fast food stands at the Victoria Markets.

For some reason, one of the local shopkeepers in Kassiopi, Corfu, Greece, has all these colourful crates stuck up on a wall outside their shop.

Bit weird, but I kind of like it.

June 18, 2022: On display at the Silver City Ghost Town in Bodfish, California, are antique wooden soda crates. Fifty years ago, I drank Royal Crown Cola, today diet coke. 161/365

First post-BrickFair MOC... Having been pulled out of the back of a car at an undisclosed location, Indiana Jones finds himself attempting to find a specific box for Irina Spalko in a warehouse full of similar-looking crates. Upon having retrieved the box, Indy makes an untimely escape, which requires his quick agility and a talent of running on rafters suspended over a concrete floor while being shot at. Safe, right?

Lots of interesting techniques went into the making of the jeep that you see here in the picture. I made a collage of the techniques that you can view here: www.flickr.com/gp/john_klapheke/4k6u46

Also, a shoutout to Brian Williams whose Indiana Jones Area 51 MOC served as a great guideline and source of inspiration for this model. And as usual a big thank you to the Harry Potter builders for their unwavering inspiration.

How could I walk past this scene and NOT make a photo? I just loved the way that single blue crate was integrated into the wall of black.
