I was packing up my gear after taking a few twilight photos on Barmouth beach, when this couple ran down to the water's edge, to admire the view. When I chatted with the guy a few minutes later, he told me that they'd spotted dolphins playing in sea nearby, which I missed unfortunately.

Professor Walthorpe,

Thank you for submitting to the Journal of Extraordinary Creatures.

It is right that we should fear the actions of the beasts that emerge from our seas and earth and skies. We curate our publication for the edification of the public, so that fear might be practically applied. But if we fear their action, we can take refuge in their rest. If we should fear rest; if mere pause, or change, or halt could end us; and if everything we know rested on the mercy- no, that presumes to much- rested on the whims of an unknowable mind; then, there is no practical action to be taken. There is only terror, or ignorance.

The Journal declines to publish your submission. We hope you will have the grace to not submit elsewhere.

herr god, herr lucifer, beware, beware / out of the ash I rise with my red hair and I eat men like air - Sylvia Plath

We hiked around 9 miles up and down, up and down over and around steep slick rock slopes to get to this huge wind carved bowl in a sandstone ridge. The woman on the left was taking selfies in many different poses when we arrived. After she finally sat down, I began taking photos of the scene. She leapt up and ran out to the edge of the bowl and began posing! She assumed I wanted her in my images! She was attractive, but I didn't hike all the way out to this amazing formation for her, so I put my camera away and began eating lunch. Finally, she left followed by her entourage.

The bowl is about 200 feet across and the rock in the middle is about 35 feet tall. The bowl is filled with orange sand.

#POST7

Cooking oil in a bowl of water with a red metallic background produced this effect.

In the cosmic time

when all was dark

It started with a tiny spark.

What followed was

a great big bang.

Fire and water

Stone and ice

created something

very nice.

HAEVN & Neco Novellas - Trade It For The Night

Look in my eyes

Do you fear the time that comes?

Like going up on Everest

Lay in my arms

In this moment we belong

Staying up to everlast

And who wants to live forever?

For the rising sun,

And who wants to wait forever?

'Til the moon is gone

Oweeja, oweeja

Just stay here

'Til the dawn comes

Look at you now

Do you linger in regret?

Like a haunted revenant

Uncover it all

Don't you listen to the past

Waiting up to everlast

Just take the moment

Don't waste another life

Just take your worries

We'll trade it for the night

Just a shot from my birthday party venue..

Aurora Australis viewed from the shoreline of Taroona near my place.

A falling star fell from your heart and landed in my eyes

I screamed aloud, as it tore through them, and now it's left me blind

The stars, the moon, they have all been blown out

You left me in the dark

No dawn, no day, I'm always in this twilight

In the shadow of your heart
