Cosmic Manhunt by L. Sprague de Camp, 1954. Is that an awesome name or what? One half of the double novel book, along with "Ring Around the Sun"
I picked these sci-fi paperbacks up at the estate sale where we got the stereo. I love their covers, and I am actually kind of looking forward to reading a couple too.
Old picture but I thought it would be fun to screw around with it. Then again screwing around with pictures and stuff is always fun.
Edit: while doing this picture I was listening to Florence + The Machine - Cosmic Love . Such a lovely song
'cosmic' because the swirly bits reminded me a bit of images of distant galaxies - 'ocean' because of the colour...and the central dark bit made me think of those sea-floor volcanic vents where strange creatures grow...

La fotografía fue hecha en un estudio a oscuras, iluminado únicamente con varias guías navideñas de colores colocadas en el suelo. Acto seguido, se tomó la cámara y con una velocidad de 2 segundos se movió en círculos, apuntando a las luces, siendo capás de mostrar la siguiente imagen presentada como resultado.
La fotografía lleva por nombre "Cosmic Railway" porque al verla la primera vez me hizo pensar en una especie de camino espacial, llevando a mi memoria la canción con la que comparte título.

In this marriage of music and space imagery, the orchestra performed Claude Debussy’s “La Mer” and Gustav Holst’s “The Planets.” Video producers at Goddard worked to collect depictions of our solar system’s planets, as well as Earth’s oceans to accompany the music. Another bizarre New York coincidence. The Cosmic Rough Riders were playing the Mercury Lounge during the week that we were in town. My sister and I have been known to frequent the same pub as Cliffy (on bass) and Paul (lurking just offstage somewhere) back in Glasgow, so we went along to the gig, and out on the town afterwards.
