You know it ain't easy
For these thoughts here to leave me
There's no words to describe it
In French or in English
Well, diamonds they fade
And flowers they bloom
And I'm telling you
These feelings won't go away
They've been knockin' me sideways
They've been knockin' me out lately
Whenever you come around me
These feelings won't go away
They've been knockin' me sideways
I keep thinking in a moment that
Time will take them away
But these feelings won't go away
"De Cope" is a combination of a parking garage and an office building in the new office district Papendorp. It was designed by JHK Architecten and built between 2006 and 2008.

We have two gray treefrog species (Cope’s Gray Treefrog and Gray Treefrog) which are identical in appearance and can only be distinguished by their call. Since this juvenile gray treefrog chose to remain silent, we will just have to settle on “gray treefrog” for identification. This little guy was less than an inch in length and is resting on a leaf.

Momiji maple (Acer palmatum) is found in low mountains as an understory plant. It is a popular gardening plant.
Japanese cedar (Cryptomeria japonica) is a "cypress" species endemic to Japan. Endemic species are often endangered, which is not the case with Sugi or Japanese cedar as it was planted plenty along with Karamatsu or Japanese larch under a government initiative to cope with the shortage of construction materials.

As a way to cope with circumstances beyond my control, survive and work to keep fighting for life I decided to try to take at least one photo (or more) each day. I call this “a photo (or more) a day.” Practicing this form of therapeutic photography helps me work to focus on the present moment, gives me something familiar and enjoyable to focus on as I use photography skills that have become like second-nature to me and being able to view the images I capture helps me recall what I was thinking, feeling and noticing at the moment when I created the photos. More of the photos from this series can be seen on my Instagram account
I may not always have the energy, time or capacity to share photos from this series—especially with the very challenging circumstances my family and I are experiencing—and will do my best to continue taking a photo (or more) a day even if I’m not able to share.
If you would like to support my work and my family, one way you can do so is by ordering my zines:
Many thanks for your support.

I love this duck but it's not a species you find in the wild here. They are native to sub-Saharan Africa and South America and this photo was taken in the big aviary at our zoo. Many birds in that aviary are kept indoors during the winter months but this duck seems to cope well with the cold temperatures.

There are times in life when you really think that it has it in for you! Everything bad happens all at once, and still you have to cope.... Right now, we both would like to go and hide somewhere to stop all the garbage they are throwing our way!!

So every once in a while, I decide to gush out on people and bring the cringe, :D... so here's the holiday edition.
I have had a challenging year, in more aspects than one, yet I could always find my shoulder to cry on and the hand to rely on.
I do not take that lightly.
To the people I hold dearest to me, my family and friends in this virtual world and the other 'not so virtual' one, that most of you have crossed to... I am thankful for you all.
Your presence makes a huge difference every single day. Just knowing that you all keep me in your thoughts, mean more than you'll ever know.
You are all my gifts this year, and ye.. I know it's weird, since I don't usually manage a serious convo without dorky humor, but I'm sure you'll cope lol
anddddddddddddddddddd:
To my Bamba, My best friend in both worlds, Thank you for everything you do for me: for the laughs, the creativity, the support, for trying to understand whatever odd thought I have in my mind I fail to explain properly, without throwing something at me lol (I bet you wanted to at some point).. for letting me send weird voice messages just to share whatever annoyed me today :P .. and to share my odd obsessions you learned to tolerate in peace. You're the calm to my crazy, and I'd not make it a day without you.
Love you LOTS
Horses are a symbol of strength
Through hardships, they go to any length
Their resilience knows no bound
Their bravery a testament profound
In their eyes, I see a flicker of hope
A reminder that in life, we can always cope
