New York City Scholar's Garden is one of two authentic classic Chinese outdoor gardens built in the United States.
On the Snug Harbor Botanical Garden premises, a classic Chinese outdoor garden appeared, made in the style of the gardens of the Ming dynasty, which ruled in China in the XIV-XVII centuries.
This garden's architectural components were made and imported from Suzhou, China, including roof tiles, columns, beams, doors and windows, bridges, and floor and walkway paving materials.

Wilbur sits on the edge of a canyon and contemplates the enormity of the landscape. Cliff after cliff all carved by the Colorado River and it's tributaries. We drove in on the Potash Road and then out through the switchbacks up to the Island in the Sky. Weather included a dust storm from gusty wind and a short rainstorm.
