Found in an old house, just left there........
"Art is contemplation. It is the pleasure of the mind which searches into nature and which there divines the spirit of which nature herself is animated."
Quote - Auguste Rodin
“This Ariyan Eightfold Path, that is to say: Right view, right aim, right speech, right action, right living, right effort, right mindfulness, right contemplation.”
Quote - Buddha
A man must find time for himself. Time is what we spend our lives with. If we are not careful we find others spending it for us. . . . It is necessary now and then for a man to go away by himself and experience loneliness; to sit on a rock in the forest and to ask of himself, 'Who am I, and where have I been, and where am I going?' . . . If one is not careful, one allows diversions to take up one's time—the stuff of life.
― Carl Sandburg
(funny how, at the time when Carl wrote this, they used to always just say "men." In my opinion, it should be changed to "people." I know I need time all by myself sometimes too)
Zoom in and take a look around :)
...there are so many things to think about at the end of a day...and Holly stood for a while thinking about how her day had gone. She decided that she was happy with it...and no, it hadn't been ordinary!
Last shot today...I promise!

Oban's signature bird. They can be seen all year round, but spring when they nest in the sea wall is the best time to visit.

Mt Ngauruhoe ( Mt Doom as filmed in Lord of the Rings fame ) This view is on the "'dark side" , which very few people venture up to . If you walk up to the base ( which takes several more hours from this point) the terrain gets very rugged
Yes, I do think animals contemplate the world around them, not as we do but certainly there is a process.
My daugher watching out over the lake. How I wish I could freeze time.

Sethi only took a short break at home before he went out again to do whatever he does when he roams the neighbourhood. It's likely that he will be at home more tomorrow because we expect stormy weather but sometimes even a storm doesn't stop him.

Fyonnbahr (Fin-bar), looking up the hill, in the field behind the house, as the sun goes down.
He spent a long time playing chases with Salyx, Elfyn and Rowyn...attempting to exert his superiority. However, he is the smallest and the girls were having none of it. I think, here, he is figuring out a cunning plan!

On a rock, looking out across Georgian Bay, this Ring-billed Gull reminds me that life does not always need to be chaotic. If a seagull can take a break, so can I :)
