I highly recommend viewing this in the large on black. The textures and other details are quite subtle.

The light of compassion can reach even the darkest places. Dedicated to all living beings, on behalf of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama (because he would wish for this instead of a personal dedication).

I was very fortunate to see him speak in Calgary last fall. I always enjoy his talks, but being there in person is quite a powerful experience. He has such a glowing presence. Ever humble and lighthearted, his calm wisdom always radiates a real sense of hope that we can overcome any challenge, no matter how difficult, by cultivating a sense of compassion for each other. He has a way of making even the loftiest goals of mankind seem actually possible.

The Dalai Lama is now active on Twitter. You can follow him here: @DalaiLama.

Closing ceremonies of the ACT6 Wisconsin AIDS Ride.

Theme: compassion. My friends separate their recycling and leave the

bottles on the curb to make it easier for the guys who collect the bottles

out of trash and recycling bins.

Scotty is a Vietnam Vet who lost his home due to back taxes a few years ago.

Ever since, he's been homeless. Even though he's homeless, with very little

he still has the compassion to feed what little he has left to the birds.
