Any contacts that know where this truck is, will be pleased to know it has company.

Nice old Firetruck nearby also.

This was taken last week. Very little snow here.

I heard from a contact that I had not heard from in sometime, and she is doing well. Very happy about that.

I do miss seeing you all here like Family (when some of the family is not here)

Harley Davidson - Dyna Super Glide Custom

My inventory is huge. It's almost like a shopping trip when I dig around in there to find something to add to a photo. I think I lucked out this time. I also went to Kustom9 which just opened yesterday and really got a haul. So, I'm mixing the old with the new and it all says to me, "turn on the summer!"

As a companion to two previous pictures I am posting two new of the same subjects.

On this artwork I shoot the same flower, on the same table. The difference is - I've not used any in-camera art modes, just default Olympus imaging.

Picture straight from the camera, no crop, no colour tweaks.

My Daughters Beautiful Rescue Dog / My Companion and a Hero

Taken at Tucklesholme Nature Reserve, Staffordshire.

Thank you to everyone who views, faves or comments on my photos, it is always appreciated.

Watching for worms and any other tasty morsels that might be disturbed when I'm gardening, especially when I'm digging the soil. Sometimes, one will fly right down beside me to capture what it has spotted.

Feisty and plucky birds they are. Synonymous with life here in Australia and I love them so.

Often times a group of them in the nearby trees will let rip with their famous call. A call to establish territory between family groups.

And even now after all these years, it will stop me in my tracks; the sheer volume and ruckus they make. And I smile as I look up at the noisy party with their heads thrown back bringing forth their glorious Antipodean vocal expression.

45 cm length.

Companions in a large and otherwise empty field.

A sunny interlude a few days ago.

Although it's said that Herons don't mate for life, and I believe that to be so, I have seen a couple of herons together in the same place since early Spring. Hey, odder things have happened and it is...2020, almost anything can happen.

Nottingham Canal, UK.

These horses were in a field in the village of Spaunton in the North Yorkshire Moors national Park, England

Two Shaggy Parasol (Chlorophyllum rhacodes also known as Macrolepiota rhacodes) growing on the forest floor in Westonbirt Arboretum (South Gloucestershire) and the pair of the Shaggy Inkcaps (Coprinus comatus) growing on the edge of the mooring the Kennet and Avon Canal near Limpley Stoke (Wiltshire). ( Poses made with Animare Plus & FATE Hand Poser )

So I was at Wharf 2 (aka Pier 2), Walsh Bay, on Sunday afternoon & evening, 26th May, 2024. I climbed up the fire stairs at the northern, harbourside, end of the wharf where there is a little platform - from which I take many of my harbour sunset photographs.

This bird (as pictured above) arrives shortly after I got there, and stayed the entire time I was there - and I stayed into the early night-time to get the Vivid Sydney colours on the western, Walsh Bay, side of the bridge.

How absolutely bizarre!! So I talked to it (even more bizarre, lol) and moved quite close to it, inferring it might like to get out of the way of the photos. But belligerently it did not move!!

I have since consulted my 'Complete Guide To Australian Birds' (by George Adams) where, on page 95, it looks like a White-faced Heron.

But I am not an expert, lol. In any event, I am calling it 'The Friendly Heron'.

As he Walked the Halls of the Labryrinth Sanctum he was soon joined by one of his more faithful companions..A Three headed hound..A Cerberus he simply named Thrice. He was not as gigantic as the hounds that guarded realms..He was large mind you but a more stout hound ..The mage smiled and patted his heads one by one..then conjured a piece of meat..a hamhock..one of his favorite treats..A memory flashed as he fed each of Thrice's heads..How he found the beast..injured and then took him in..scared..vicious..he would lunge and lash at the mage..all trying not to harm or hurt the beast..when he found at one point ..the hound was obviously mistreated..abused..scared ..so with a desperate move The mage conjured a spell and created meat for him..offering the treat slowly..it snapped..and tried to fight if off each others heads..then the mage formed two more..for each maw..they ate and devoured..one after the other..until he could conjure no more..physically tired and his magic aura depleted..he knelt thinking it was going to be a fight..but then the beast came..and rested his heads one by one as a sign he trusted his new friend and soon to be master..the memory faded as he walked with him "You will meet the new apprentices..they will tend to you..and you will guard them..but do go easy..they cannot yet conjure your treats yet.."

I would like to thank the Sun for the opportunity to observe this moment.

My wonderful travelling companion of the last thirty-five years, shown here having polished off a large Mythos on our first night in Greece. Yamas! :)

The sun was breaking through heavy mist, while my companion and I silently took in the opposite shore.

I was alone that day. but in the mist I sort of see a mystery companion......

I hope the week is great for you!

Berlin, Warschauer Brücke

It’s not my bike, but seeing it patiently waiting there made me think that a bike like that is a true companion, reliable and steady. That’s exactly how I feel about mine :-).
