I went up to the top of Mount Cargill this afternoon, it was surprisingly calm up there..usually it's cold and windy!
Future communication technology Wireless communication is among technology’s biggest contributions to mankind. Wireless communication involves the transmission of information over a distance without help of wires, cables or any other forms of electrical conductors. The transmitted distance can be anywhere between a few meters (for example, a television’s remote control) and thousands of kilometres (for example, radio communication).

The one on the right erected in 1960 and standing at 111 meters, belongs to CBC/Radio-Canada, but it also hosts the antennas of practically all private and public broadcasters in Greater Montreal, such as TVA, CTV, Télé Québec, Astral Media, Corus and more.

Communication Design_Poster

Subject; Come back, Korean style house
Design; Transformer
Hanok is a traditional house of Korea. Its greatness in size and elaborately ornamented features does not make it quite the perfect or ideal type of house in a modernized Korean cultural environment. This became the reason for the fall of hanok’s popularity. However, mini-hanok’s have started to arise. Most
of these mini-hanok’s are about 50m2 in size and are of interest to many newly-wed couples. It’s exterior closely resembles the traditional kind of hanok while the interior is designed to suit the modern lifestyle.
This poster was designed as a means to promote that ‘Hanok is back, in style’. The Chinese character meaning ‘hope’ when used twice is said to bring happiness and luck. As Korea’s cultural influence come from China, this belief still remains within Korean culture and hence the use of Chinese character for hope can often be seen in Korean traditional patterns, including on the walls of hanok. This is where I got the idea to use the character ‘hope’ for my poster.
There has been much shift in the design of Korean-style houses (Hanok). Today’s hanok have shifted from the spacious and ornately decorated type to being smaller and cozy. I thought that a good way to introduce the hanok’s change was by comparing the old hanok to the new kind. The comparison was achieved by expressing the word ‘hope’ on the right as an image of an antique hanok. Wadang, a traditional pattern, was used to illustrate the splendor of the hanok. The word ‘hope’ on the left was broken down to portray a cozy and smaller version of hanok.
