Tenuous link: Communications (almost certain) and Power (certainly possible, but I'm not sure what the function of Eva's dramatic structure is).
* I accidentally deleted my last 6 photos & all of their comments etc so here they are again... sigh *

Engineers Stanley R. Peterson (left) and Ray Bowerman (right), checkout the Early Bird, the world's first communication satellite. NASA launched the satellite built by Hughes Aircraft Corporation on April 6, 1965 at 6:48pm E.S.T. from Complex 17a at Cape Kennedy, Florida. Early Bird was built for the Communications Satellite Corporation and weighed about 85 pounds after being placed in a synchronous orbit of 22,300 miles above the earth. It was positioned over the Atlantic to provide 240 two-way telephone channels or 2-way television between Europe and North America. The outer surface of Early Bird was covered with 6,000 silicon-coated solar cells, which absorbed the sun's rays to provide power to the satellite for its intricate transmitting and receiving equipment.

You don't have to share a language to speak to people. These boys communicated well across language barriers. That exactly is one of the ideas behind the tournament: to make young people understand that there is more that unify us than separate us because of "borders of nationality".
Few scandals this year... The biggest one wasn't caused by boys but by their parents. An English team has been warned because, not the boys, but their parents have disturbed the 12 years old of the other team by running into the field, shouting sexually degrading comments to them! What does this say about parents - and about England of today?

I liked taking photos of this Communication mast. I took about 50 shots of it.
In the background you can see lake Þingvellir, Icelands largest natural lake (Unfortunetly, from a environmental view, there are artificial lake larger created by large damns).
Blowing horns are ancient signal instruments. They were played by Vikings and also in many parts of the earth by heralds and watchmen.
Used as a means of communication, to keep in contact with your friends or to warn people of your approach and to keep Evil Spirits away.

One eye does it. I know what she wants, owe her a cookie, and am reaching for the treat bag even as I take this.

MINI Connected is designed with Apple products in mind and can even read your Tweets to you or stream webradio.
The 2012 MINI makes the good even better by improving on its strengths. The MINI has an even more attractive package, with technology that’s sure to please urbanite Mac geeks, more fuel economy to appease your inner Al Gore and an excessive amount of metrosexual style.

During the cold war a line of 6 defensive combat facilities where planned in the Norwegian forests. The fear of a possible Soviet attack was very real in the late 80ties and early 90ties.. This bunker was built in 1989. After the fall of the iron carpet the plans was abandoned and only 3 of this bunkers where built all looking the same. The facilities are now owned by private land owners.
