I present here, on Flickr, a series of stolen and not stolen shots, rescued from oblivion, taken on the streets of Taormina, a tourist town on the eastern coast of Sicily. I took many photos by lengthening the exposure times, thus achieving a “blur” effect; I took portraits, especially of very nice couples, one of Chinese origin who got married in Taormina, one from Holland, another from Germany, portraits of very sweet and very nice Chinese girls, a very nice girl portrayed while she was working in a pastry shop, of the artist Leopoldo, a theater actor, who I had the pleasure of photographing (and posting) on several other occasions.
Presento qui, su Flickr, una serie di scatti rubati e non, tolti all’oblio, realizzati per le strade di Taormina, cittadina a vocazione turistica, della costa orientale della Sicilia. Molte foto le ho realizzate allungando i tempi di esposizione, raggiungendo in tal modo un effetto “blur”; ho eseguito dei ritratti, segnatamente di simpaticissime coppie, una di origine cinese che si è sposata a Taormina, una proveniente dall’Olanda, un’altra proveniente dalla Germania, ritratti di ragazze cinesi dolcissime e simpaticissime, una simpaticissima ragazza ritratta mentre lavorava in un laboratorio-pasticceria, dell’artista Leopoldo, attore di teatro, che ho avuto il piacere di fotografare (e di postare) in diverse altre occasioni.

#Xinbeitou atau populer disebut New Beitou termasuk ke dalam wilayah distrik Beitou yang ada di bagian utara Taiwan. Distrik ini dipenuhi dengan sumber air panas yang melimpah. Dikelilingi oleh tiga gunung membuat Xinbeitou memiliki persediaan air panas sepanjang tahun. Pemandian #air panas yang terdapat di Xinbeitou terbagi menjadi dua yaitu pemandian umum dan pemandian privat. Pemandian pribadi biasanya ada di hotel-hotel. Air yang digunakan di pemandian adalah air panas alami yang berasal dari #pegunungan. Airnya mengandung #belerang yang dapat menyembuhkan berbagai macam #penyakit #kulit.
Suhu air di pemandian berkisar antara 37o-40o Celcius. Derajat keasaman atau PH air di Xinbeitou berkisar antara 2,5-6,5. Dengan begitu, air panas yang ada di sini dapat dibagi menjadi tiga kategori, Sulfur biru, Sulfur putih, dan Sulfur besi. Masing-masing mempunyai keistimewaannya sendiri. Sulfur biru sangat efektif untuk menyembuhkan penyakit kulit dan otot yang terkilir. Sulfur putih berguna untuk perawatan arthritis dan penyakit ginekologis. Sementara sulfur besi efektif untuk menyembuhkan rematik dan saraf yang sakit. Pemandian air panas hampir dapat selalu ditemukan di seluruh bagian Xinbeitou. Pemandian air panas yang terkenal dapat ditemukan di daerah-daerah seperti Hushan Village, Geothermal Valley, Xin Yi Road, serta Phoenix (Fenghuang) dan Longfeng hot spring.
Jika Anda berangkat dari Taipei, Anda dapat menggunakan #MRT untuk menuju Beitou. Sesampainya di Beitou Station, anda harus menggunakan Pink Line yang akan membawa anda ke Xinbeitou. Keluar dari stasiun, Anda cukup berjalan kaki ke objek-objek wisata. Petunjuk menuju tempat wisata di Xinbeitou sangat jelas. Tidak perlu khawatir anda akan tersesat jika di sana.
Anda dapat mulai perjalanan anda dengan mengunjungi Ketagalan Culture Center. Ketagalan adalah nama salah satu suku asli Taiwan yang dulu mendiami Beitou. Dari Ketagalan Culture Center, And a bisa melanjutkan perjalanan ke Taipei Public Library yang mempunyai bangunan dengan desain yang unik. Selanjutnya Anda bisa pergi ke Beitou Hot Spring Museum yang merupakan pemandian tertua yang ada di sini.
Jika Anda ingin merasakan sensasi mandi di pemandian air panas, Anda dapat pergi ke pemandian umum yang ada di Xinbeitou. Pemandian tersebut buka mulai pukul 5.30 pagi sampai jam 10 malam. Dalam kurun waktu tersebut, pengunjung hanya bisa masuk pada pergantian waktu setiap dua jam sekali. Yang perlu anda ketahui jika ingin mandi di pemandian umum adalah anda harus mengantri. Kadang-kadang antrian pengunjung sudah ada sebelum waktu masuk tiba. Akan tetapi, Anda tidak perlu khawatir. Anda dapat menikmati pemandian yang lebih privat di hotel-hotel yang terdapat di Beitou seperti The Koos Suite, Spa Spring Resort atau Golden Hot Spring Hotel

I realise I haven't really taken any proper photos for the couple of days since I finished my first 365, and I'm missing the daily challenge.
I know I said September 1st but I think I'll start sooner. It won't be today but it may be tomorrow or certainly the weekend.
I liked how when I turned to page 365 for this image, the words on there were relaxation, relent and relish - all sum up how I feel about doing a 365, so I take it as a sign!

Had some maternity pics taken a few weeks ago by a photographer friend of mine,
Aaron Kennison. Just thought I'd share one with you all and let you know that Wednesday, April 28th, at 8:30 am, our little guy will finally arrive! I have to have a c-section because this little guy is still breech (sideways actually) and not budging. So this was the safest route to go.
Hopefully, will have pics to share soon, but will probably be away for a few days as I'll be cooped up in the hospital. Ugh. But it will all be worth it.
