I have been sick for the past week and started to feel better today, so I went out with my camera. This scene from Fox River proved to be a perfect healer for my ailing body and soul.

This abstract of fall colors is a little out of my comfort zone but I liked the vibrancy of the nearby trees and sky reflected in the water.

Ah, back to my beloved monochrome. I'm slowly getting to a place where I can be consistently satisfied with my colour work, but when photographing with black and white film everything from choosing a subject to editing the final images just seems to flow. Though I know I still have a lot to learn, being comfortable with the process is incredibly satisfying.

"I feel like I'm going to slip..." Her voice was clear and yet shaky all at the same time. Things weren't easy right now. Learning about an entire other side of reality, being alone in a new town... they were getting to her and she needed help.
Hearing his voice was usually almost annoying. He'd call her five, sometimes six times a day, just to check in, to make sure she was on track. At times he felt overbearing, but it was that sort of care and worry that kept her on a straight line. But now she was calling him, quietly asking for guidance and help and he had it to offer. She felt good enough to get home, not worried about taking a detour to the bar, not worried about heading to the store and grabbing a six-pack. And she was thankful for that. But what she didn't expect was the knock on her door a few hours later, bringing her the closeness she'd missed more than she could have ever thought. Ever since they were teenagers, Anthony knew how to take care of her, and right now that was just holding her and being the anchor she always needed, but sometimes forgot she had.
