Aerial Combat
Tree Swallows fighting over a desirable nesting hole at John Heinz NWR. This fighting was quite intense with the swallows actually falling into the water while they were fighting.

These two eagles took to the air to continue their ground fight over the fish, a Ling Cod. Eventually the other eagle stole the fish in mid-air.
Two "knights" engage in a "battle to the death" for the entertainment of spectators late last summer at the Michigan Renaissance Festival, near Holly, Michigan. I have to say that it did look and sound pretty realistic at times. Unfortunately, I was unable to get a completely clear shot of the action, but that railing in the foreground, along with the one in the background, qualifies this shot for Fence Friday, to my way of thinking. :-)
