The Minicab has been sold under the CMC brand for a long time in Taiwan. Later it received many updates and the name changed to Varica. Nowadays Mitsubishi dealerships are selling the CMC Veryca, based on a later Mitsubishi Minicab, but with increased dimensions and engine capacity.

Dumped 762mm gauge Plymouth type 'JCD' 4-wheel diesel-mechanical 'C.M.C. 7' (W/No.3985 built in 1939) at Cyprus Mines Corporation, Karavostasi on 19th March 2005, and languishing in this same position for over 30 years, since the hostilities on the island in July 1974.

That time I caught CSX Railroad working CMC Steel in Cayce, South Carolina. The crew from cmc normally worke the csx yard themselves with one of their switchers in the background, like the RLCX SW900 #905. but CSX often delivered or picked up cars from CMC. such was the case on this day in 2012 under a threatening sky.
Made by CMC, this “Hit-type” came produces a 14mm square image on 17.5mm film loaded into canisters. They became known as Hit cameras due to the fact that they were all very similar to the Hit camera produced Tougodo after WWII. CMC is one of a dozen or more companies that made these micro/spy cameras. This particular one is in extremely good condition, and still works. The shutter is a simple Everset (in lens, single stroke) shutter.
I would like to get it working again and run some film through it.

A very fun and quick build, made in response to Dali Zheng's Maintneance Mecha. Also influenced by Izmojuki.
As well as the well-known Cyprus Government Railway, which closed in December 1951, there were other railways on this Mediterranean island. There were industrial narrow gauge railways which served the copper mining industry. The Cyprus Mines Corporation's (CMC) 762mm system, based near the north west coastal village of Karavostasi on the Morphou Bay coast, was in fact connected to the Cyprus Government Railway when it was still open, but in latter years, up until 1974 when everything was abandoned in-situ and locked in time, it was purely an internal system serving the mine, works and pier-head. In March 1999, and dumped in the same location for over 25 years, was Baldwin 0-8-2 tank C.M.C.No.4 (W/No.60344 of 1928). Operations at the works, the remains now in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, ended abruptly in 1974 upon the conflict on the island between the Turkish and Greek armies. The site has since been cleared and some locos survive at various locations around the north of Cyprus, plinthed as a reminder of industrial times past on the island.

The Mitsubishi Varica, built by CMC and sold under its own brand at Mitsubishi dealerships, had been the bestselling bread truck and van for many years. It started its life as Mitsubishi (CMC) Minicab, but after the first facelift it received a new name: Varica. It received two more facelifts, this is an example of the second facelift of the Varica/Minicab.
