Looks like nature is winning the battle at this viewpoint as the trees close in and obscure the view of the line and the former Lewis Merthyr colliery. Here 143602 heads up the Rhonnda Valley working 2T08 13:00 Cardiff Central to Treherbert.
This Golden Eagle came flying by very close. So close, it didn't fit in the frame.

I am happy I caught this very quick move when Rylan my 7-year-old grandson had a close call with this bubble that nearly landed on his face. LOL This kid has the moves for sure LOL

Hopefully your not getting fed up with all the Bluebell images, only a couple more to come but i`ll space them out with other shots.
It`s been a while since I shot this one, I think it was a focus stack of some that I brought home to shoot.
They are such a lovely flower in the field but close up they look more purple than blue.

Although I prefer sunrises to sunsets at Keefer Lake the light is always magical at both ... even if they are qualitatively very different. This photo is taken from my boat looking north. The small beach is a public boat launch area for those who want to fish Keefer Lake but don't live here. My house is west of here (to the left in the photo).
