Violent clashes broke out at the Haymarket riot. Nowadays, on May 1, for example, the outing in nature is appreciated.
Not far away from our tent there was this small but wonderful waterfall. And I could see this piece of area several times a day during one week and of course in every light condition. And the evening I made this shot here the time was perfect for a picture as a thunderstorm was approaching the area at sunset! From the distance I could already hear the roar of the thunderstorm. And every minute it got louder and louder as the sky darkened slowly. Sunset time was close and I grabbed my backpack just to reach the small waterfall at the right time. And as you can see in my image I had enough time to catch the sunset and the approaching thunderstorm at the same time! How lucky I was that evening ;-) I hope you like my vision here.
Thank you for your time and interest in my photos, your visit is most appreciated :-)

Two weather fronts clash on our last day at Shenandoah, giving the landscape quite a glow. I haven't seen this since a trip to Great Smoky a couple of years back. Shenandoah is quite a gem.
I've been fortunate to photograph Fallow Deer fighting on a number of occasions over the years and it's great to watch. I find they seem far more eager to do battle with each other than Red Deer, presumably there is less risk of serious injury.
So I was pleased to catch these two bucks doing battle yesterday morning.
The morning sunlight clashes with the haze over the mountains in the Shenandoah National Park. I did everything here I usually try to avoid, shooting into almost impossible light. But, I liked the surreal look of the silhouettes. Sometimes, it feels good to break a rule, doesn't it?
“I will hurt you for this. I don't know how yet, but give me time. A day will come when you think yourself safe and happy, and suddenly your joy will turn to ashes in your mouth, and you'll know the debt is paid.”
― George R.R. Martin, A Clash of Kings

U735, with IC Heritage painted ET44AC #3008 on the point, blasts past a relic tied down in the siding at Ryley Alberta. The caboose was on the end of a welded rail train, and I was hoping to get a wider angle shot of the meet but the dreaded "Card full" alarm on the DSLE put a stop to that
Sitting here isolating listening to Clash albums.
What is everybody else listening to in these times?
An early autumn snowfall in the higher elevations of Mullan Pass surrounds Montana Rail Link’s Austin Creek Trestle at Skyline, Montana, on October 11, 1997. Lower elevations toward Helena received rain, but a frosting of snow flocks the trees up on the pass, creating an unusual look to the scenery. ...The undead warrior swings her sword with all the might her rotted arms can manage, the samurai easily blocks and repels the corps's attack knocking her backward...
Summer rains are absolutely wonderful. To me anyways. I love hearing the sounds of the rain on my windows mixed with the sudden clashes of thunder. The weather gets cooler, and then it gets sweltering again.
A clash of green one and a red one. Who's gonna get it? I hope both, but the red one seems to suffer from this dreadful weather here in Europe. The clash of colors is actually the clash for water.
Two massive Elephant Seal bulls (each weighing 3,000 LBS plus) battle for dominance on a California beach. This fight lasted for several minutes…a rarity for this time of year. Clashes like this take place frequently in November and December as bulls endeavor to establish their turf and collect their harems. By January, most fights are short scuffles, so this lengthy encounter was uncommon.
A few weeks back, James Page and I conducted a brief discussion on posting images that capture a special or important moment but are less than technically perfect. This is one of those images. It was taken handheld from a car window during a heavy drizzle while trying to shoot through the gaps in some roadside fencing. So it’s grainy and funky looking but the moment deserved a post.
Waves they clash on the stone
At the edge of Neptune's home
Clouds they laugh, they float by
In their Kingdom in the sky
Looking down on the stone
Kissing the water , waves they roam
Clouds they smile, shed a tear
As they see, nightime near
When the Moon in his starry home
Will shine down on the soaking stone
