Here's my card for this weeks manly challenge. I've been working on hero cards and 4th of July cards so I used what papers i had out already. Stamp is from the birthday messages set CL139, the brown star is metal with a star jewel on top of that.

Another card for sketch challenge. I love the pink , kraft and white color combo.

Thanks for looking! This is a card for No-Stress Distress Inks #10 - a video series I'm teaching over at my blog. Blogged here with full supply list and details:http://brittaswiderski.com/2011/03/19/no-stress-distress-inks-10-stamping-with-water/

Inspired by the Sending Smiles card on page 72 of the 2011 Hero Arts Catalog. I thought the background would work perfectly with "Girl with Gift" for a birthday card.

The first card I made has larger flowers in the background. I was disappointed that I didn't get to put little gems on the background flowers so I made a second card with smaller flowers. Feel free to let me know which you like better.

I like the flower on the card in the catalog, but thought it overpowered the gift in her hand so I just added a few gemstones. Also, instead of a pink strip of paper with the sentiment, mine is vellium so you can see the music behind it.

Now I can't wait to buy the Daisy background stamp and the "You Rock" girl!

The inspiration to this card came from Kristina Warner, I was watching one of her Finally Friday videos a few days ago and I came up with this card.

Wanted a not too frilly, but still fun, birthday card for a friend. Used an acetate card and a cake theme! TFL!

I received some very bright and bold colored cardstock today from my Daughter who lives in Ohio. I had sent her some Archiver's coupons a few weeks back and one of the coupons was for 10 free pieces of 8 1/2 x 11 inch cardstock. So she picked up various colors and sent them to me. This is what she said, "I figured I'd get some colors that were bold and bright... so you can make some more cards". Anyway, I wanted to make a flower pot card and the flower pot is from one of the pieces of the cardstock that my daughter sent to me.

My first card for this month's HA contest and I used Susan's explanation to make a "wobbler" on the inside of the card. The details are on my blog:

infinite-possibilities.blogspot.com/2012/05/hero-arts-may...

TFL!

Made this for Hero Arts Flowers and St Patrick Day challenge. I started with a diecut card base by Studio G sold in the dollar bin at Jo-Ann. The "ribbon" is also from their $1 bin but it's really a twill shoelace! The things you find in the bin, I tell you!!

Tried the layering technique Jennifer showed. Stamped the Raindrops in Peeled Paint and embossed clear. Stamped the Old Writing Flower collage in Antique Linen and then again three times just from the corners with Vintage Photo. I put crack paint over the whole thing but didn't make it thick enough, I guess - didn't get a lot of crackle, oh well... Little tag is from a birthday set I got from Virginia - getting a lot of us out of that set! TFL!!

I have entered this card in Vicky's Around the World Challenge #3 www.clips-n-cuts.com. This challenge was very challenging for me because I usually don't go with bold and bright colors. (This weeks country is Mexico.) But I did have fun making this card and I did not have any trouble deciding on the colors. Thanks for looking.

This is a birthday card for my nephew who is no longer a boy, but a very mature young man. And here is the reason why I love HA, just look at the definition that was etched into that shell stamp, it's incredible! The card base is a cream colour, and I inked the edges with Rangers Brushed Corduroy distress ink. I did the same for the stamped panel and the sentiment piece (sentiment is also HA). The shells themselves were stamped a few times over using Desert Sand Ink by CTMH, I really love how the colour turned out. The stamped panel is actually mounted using dimentional strips. The paper is from Bo Bunny. I think that for an older man I would have liked to distress the edges of the papers, but just not for my nephew, it would have been too much. Thank you for looking.

I made this card for my online Flickr friend, Barb Engler. I hope that your birthday was wonderful, Barb.

The sentiment comes from Hero Arts Birthday Messages stamp set CL139. The embossing folder that I used is by Sizzix and the stamped image is by Gina K Designs.

This card I'm going to send to a friend that has her birthday on Monday.

I've learned so much since I joined this group. I'm so grateful!

I've become better in colouring, I've learnt how to change a stamped image with a pen. On this card where I've used a white pen to make dots. I've also learnt to stamp on flowers and then emboss them in several layers of clear powder. I've also learnt to use complementary colours.

Thank you all, for all I've learnt ♥

For details, please see my blog.

This card was inspired by Laura Griffin's adorable animal circles card for kid. I mounted the circles on bigger circles first time like hers. Didn't like the look so they got squares instead. (because I hand cut the circles and they were not perfect/ugly.) I did the watercoloring on background and stamped/ white embossed the images.

My nephew has recently been obsessed with footbally, so I decided to turn the monkey into a football player! I drew a number 9 (for my nephew's age), and applied glossy accents to it before coloring in the uniform using a water brush. I freeform cut out the helmet and tied string. It's hard to tell this is a monkey because his ears are covered, but you can see his tail. :) For the bg, I stamped the DB Birthday in light blue, inked up the clouds with Faded Jeans and Broken China, spritzed with water, then stamped on top. Thanks for looking!
