This was one of the dioramas we had at out annual Lego event in Stormen Library in Bodø every first weekend of advent (either the last weekend of November or first weekend of December) where we have a huge exhibition, building activities, animation lab, competitions, talks and more. It was visited by 2500 people in 2025.
This is a diorama created by the leader of our Lego club, Kim, and his wife Elisabeth, with some help of Frode, another member of our club. It's a mixture of MOCs and official Lego sets. Beautiful, isn't it?
This photo is one of 1000s taken by Charles Ward as he cycled around Japan for a year (2006-2007). Half way though his trip he gave up working as a volunteer in organic farms to start his own peace movement with a little paper bird called Kyu Chan.
Follow Charlie in his adventure to change the world in his new book "Charlie desu, Chikyujin desu" and find out what he is doing now to promote peace.
To find out about more about this peace movement visit Kyu Chans homepage www.ex1st.com and join the flickr group Kyu Chan. You can make one too, have a go!

From a walk with Newell the Jewell. This could've been taken where I grew up in Pennsylvania. I found myself nostalgic for the town where I grew up. I really liked where I grew up. (This surprised Newell who grew up in suburban Long Island.)

this is how my city looks like at night
Unfortunately, I didn't have a tripod with me, so the photo has a lot of grain.
An early morning view towards the centre of Edinburgh from the edge of Salisbury Crags. I specially timed this shot so that the castle floodlights would not be on.
As the seeds of civilization spread, buildings sprout up from the ground like a forest, the silhouette of concrete and earth blends into one.
