So many circles for photography
The circle is composed of light bulbs
Beautiful in a resort where we stayed
In Batangas, Philippines
This is a B&W photo of a circle of beach stones from Bartlett's Beach that I arranged in a dip in the ground in my yard. The image was taken while intentionally rotating the camera during the one second exposure.
The architectural highlight of gothic Highgate Cemetary was walking through Egyptian Avenue out into the Circle of Lebanon. It is a breathtaking structure of twenty sunken tombs built around the roots of an ageing and ancient Cedar of Lebanon tree, from which the Circle gets its name.
Sadly, due to major structural problems and serious decay of the tree, which predates the cemetery itself, it had to be cut down and removed; a new, small one has been planted in the same place.
Macro Mondays: "Circles"
An LED flashlight (torch? pardon my Hollywood english) lit with a single LED constant light.
The image is about 2.5 cm (1 inches) on the long edge.
Everything
Turns,
Rotates,
Spins,
Circles,
Loops,
Pulsates,
Resonates,
And
Repeats.
Circles
Of life,
Born from
Pulses
Of light,
Vibrate
To
Breathe,
While
Spiraling
Outwards
For
Infinity
Through
The lens
Of time,
And into
A sea
Of stars
And
Lucid
Dreams.
Castlerigg Stone Circle is one of the most atmospheric of all stone circles. It is thought to have been constructed about 3000 BC, it is potentially one of the earliest in the country.
Thanks for looking and stay safe.
Inside my head and in my life
Turning. Again and again.
Even among debris of what was, they
Keep on rolling, carrying me, leaving
It behind the like fallen leaves
Taking with me only memories.
I'm rolling on to the
Next story of my life.
And when will I have a rest?

I hadn't made any plans to go out this morning but after waking up at 02:00 and being unable to get back to sleep, I decided that I might as well give it a go. I headed to one of my regular spots down on Derwentwater and arrived just before sunrise. The sunrise didn't amount to much but around 30 minutes later the sun started to light up the clouds with a bit of colour so all was not lost :-)
For Smile on Saturday theme of round things is a bunch of bubbles imagined by an artist at the NGV (National Gallery of Victoria, Melbourne) Triennial earlier this year blended with an abstract background of circles. I hope this meets the SoS requirements of "round shapes only". HSoS
Macro Mondays theme for April 9, 2018:
