I was 12 years old. For the first time of my life I had taken the plane to go to Dakar (Sénégal), to see my father. Here, I'm in N'Bour, a little town at the seaside, on the beach with a nice little african girl. I really did like my red bag that my father offered to me, that's why I haven't cropped the picture. I stayed one month in Sénégal, near Dakar. I was so pleased to come back to Biarritz, France.... unfortunately, I had soon to leave my dear town.......
In french, "Le temps" means both time and weather. Chronos is the greek word to say the time, and we find it in our french word "chronologie".

ps. Strange thing about comments. Photos that I think desrve more attention and perhaps make the viewer "think" a bit more take the fewest or no comments....
A modification of the Chrono-Synclastic Curlicue Clock to make it into a calendar, repeating only once a year. It turns out that making it just five times as long as the daily Curlicue is enough to make it move almost as fast.
On the other hand, it can't manage the same frame rate when it's drawing a Curlicue five times as long as any of the others, so I've removed the Minute and Hour Curlicues; this one is just Date and Seconds.
This cranky old man angel is Chronos, or Father Time. He marks the tomb of Erasmo di Giuseppe Piaggio, in the Cimitero monumentale di Staglieno, in Genoa, Italy. The sculptor of this work is Santo Saccomanno in the year 1876
